Lockhart’s Weddings & Special Occasions is located in historic Broad Gables, a warm and nostalgic Victorian home located in the quaint town of Sussex, NB. Proprietor, Sherry McCormick purchased Lockhart's Weddings in June of 2017 and feels that life has come full circle for her owning a business just down the street from the house that her grandparents lived for many years. In fact, she would have

skipped right past Broad Gables on her shopping trips to "downtown" Sussex with her Aunt Violet. Sherry has an extensive background in all things weddings with owning a wedding planning business since 2010 and a tuxedo company since 2013. Attention to detail and superior service set Lockhart’s Weddings above all others. • Weather Update •
With the snow storm heading our way tonight into tomorrow, we have decided it’s best to be closed on Friday, November 29th for the safety of our workers, brides and prom girls.
We will be back for a busy day on Saturday!!

Oh and ps. We are going to miss our dresses! This trunk show has been amazing, given our brides the opportunity to see our new designer! This dress seems to be a fav 🤍

Let’s talk timelines:

Our gowns typically take anywhere from 6-9 months to come in and from there if alterations are needed, typically that takes 3 months!
We also have gowns we sell off the rack from our collections and we always have a sale rack of dresses we can no longer order (our sale rack). These are dresses that you would take home that day with you!

We are booking into December which means if you say yes to your dress, your dress might not be here until May-July (6-9 months). There are options to “rush” your order too for cost.

All this to say, if you are a 2025 summer bride… you need to book your appointments now!!!
