Today I celebrate the birthday of my favourite country in the world!🇨🇦
But as I celebrate I am humbled before God that I have had the incredible privilege of being born Canadian and lived my life here. I'm thankful for the beauty of our country, for the vastness of it, for the 4 seasons I love. I'm thankful for the freedom Canada has always pursued, for the desire that every single Canadian has opportunity and freedom, for the consistent dedication to law and order, for the dedication of being a peaceful nation and supporting peace around the world, yet also thankful for our history of being willing to go to war when peace is threatened. I'm thankful for our democracy that constantly strives to balance freedom, peace, fairness, health, order and rights of the people. I'm thankful that we as citizens have the ability to vote and in turn to maintain our democratic spirit.
But equally I pray. I pray for those that have been hurt in our past as Canada developed into an independent nation in this new world. I pray that the future of Canada will be protected. I pray that our democracy will continue to pursue balance and fairness to every Canadian. I pray for our leaders as they face the incredible instability in our world. That decisions will be made that would not tear away at our freedom and fairness but continue to balance it. I pray that Canada would be protected from imperialistic powers in this world and would continue to provide peace.
So it's Canada 's birthday today and let's celebrate as there is much to pray for BUT there is so much to be thankful for and so much to be proud of! 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
