This little idea became something bigger!

A friend suggested I check out a company in Australia that was an online florist, selling cute posy bouquets. No store front, no high prices, just cool little flower arrangements.

The idea was novel, something that hadn’t been done locally. I wanted to offer a great product without all the extras and thought this was it.

This was nearly 6 years ago. My idea of growing Petals and Posies into the same thing as this little online store down under, has never changed.

Thank you to everyone that has supported this little blooming idea of mine over the years. I’m forever grateful❤️

It is important to measure how long and wide you would like your door swag to be. You want it to look it’s best in the spot it will be placed.

Standard sizes are approx 18” and 24” long . Width approx 14” at the widest point.

This “so called” tip is a Myth!

Anthers produce pollen and that’s it. Nothing linked to the flowers life span.

The pictured lily shows anthers before and during pollination. A great example of what to remove and what to look for.

Be sure to catch them before they pollinate! The pollen will stain everything. I’ve definitely had this happen once or twice 😊

It’s true! Any sort of money is a breeding ground for bacteria. The best thing to do is just change the water regularly and give your flowers a good cut to improve their water absorption.

You don’t want to drink dirty water, and neither do your flowers.

Simple events are beautiful!!

Yes I said it! You don’t need huge centrepieces or elaborate statement pieces for your event to be memorable.

This is still one my favourites, a backyard baby shower where everything had meaning:
White = purity and peace
Mums = for the mom to be
Rose = new beginnings, innocence
Hydrangea = good luck/well wishes

Unfortunately it cost a lot to run a physical store front flower shop these days. There are subscription fees, large overhead expenses and a lot of inventory.
Petals and Posies is none of that. I believe in giving customers a great product at a great price. Nobody has time to stop in at a store and buy flowers. Life is too busy. With a store front - you the customer are paying for overhead that you aren’t even stepping foot in (as stated- you’re to busy to stop and go to the flower shop). All of these things above bothered me enough to come up with my own idea of the online flower shop. It shouldn’t cost a lot to make someone’s day.

Open for orders starting April 22. First delivery day is May 2.
-order at least 1 day in advance
-open 12 to 6 Tuesday to Saturday.

First delivery is day is May 2nd. And yes, we deliver throughout the Niagara Region.

Need flowers delivered at a later date? Orders can be placed up to 10 days in advance of your requested delivery. All order must be placed 1 business day in advance.

So excited to announce the launch of the new website!!
I will have a new bouquet available for delivery and pickup each month starting May 2nd.
New hours effective May 2nd: Tuesday -Saturday 12-6. All deliveries and pickups will occur between these hours.
