New this week: 4” Monstera Adansonii, aka Swiss Cheese Monstera 🧀 Nicknamed for its large fenestrations (or holes) this member of the monstera family might look intimidating, but are actually pretty easy-going! They like bright indirect light, and to be watered when the top 50-75% of soil is dry. Monstera Adansonii are a vining plant so they can either grow up a moss pole or trellis, or can be left to hang over the pot.

These Swiss Cheese plants- and all of our other available plants- can be found on our website, where you can place an order for delivery or pick-up. You can also stop by our shop Tuesday-Friday 11am-5pm or Saturday 11am-3pm to shop in person.

💚 We have a fun hoya in stock this week! 4” Hoya Kerrii Albo 💚 This is a more established version of the small Hoya Hearts, with each plant already showing at least a couple leaves. Hoya Kerri are a slow-growing vining plant that should be treated like a succulent- full sun or bright indirect light environment, and let the soil dry thoroughly between waterings. Their heart shaped leaves are thick and store water, so it is important not to overwater these plants- wait until the soil is dry and the leaves get a bit wrinkly just to be safe! Hoyas are also pet friendly!

January means low light and low indoor humidity, which can be tricky for tropical plants. But there are some varieties that can get by just fine despite the less than favourable conditions! Parlor Palms, Snake Plants, ZZ Plants, and Pothos/Philodendron are some of our favourites for low light, and are generally easy to care for- meaning you can save the coveted window space for other sun-loving plants in your collection 🌿
