It’s a high one!
The flavour combo is my own 😁
8 Layers of chocolate cake soaked in cherry brandy, whipped chocolate ganache, lingonberry fruit , French buttercream and a white chocolate drip.

The Dobos Torte 🇭🇺
An elaborate Hungarian Cake.
Those thin layers of sponge cake filled with chocolate buttercream , coated with toasted hazelnut praline and topped with a caramel fan..
It’s the ultimate!!!!

This is an advanced recipe, and patience and time is key.
I still lay awake at night thinking about it the night before I have to make one.
I have to gear myself up!!!

But it’s all worth while to know it brings back childhood memories for so many.
It certainly does for me.

I Cooked Christmas Dinner!!!
It hasn’t been the first time and it won’t be the last this Holiday Season!🎄

This request for a family Christmas dinner was Hungarian Fried Chicken & Cabbage Rolls
Along with it , Mashed Potatoes, Roasted Carrots , Cabbage Salad , Kiflis & Thumbprint Cookies.
We spoke on the phone the next day. The meal was loved by all. ❤️

My friends and family know how important it is that I please you, ( It’s really all I talk about) but I thought you should know too!
I won’t even post anything until I have heard you are 💯 satisfied and so far I haven’t let anyone down.
I plan to keep it that way!!

Black Lentils!!!

They are small, round, black-coloured with an earthy taste and a firm texture. They are also called beluga lentils because they look like beluga caviar.

Unlike green lentils, black lentils have the same powerful antioxidant found in dark berries like blueberries and blackberries!

I made a yummy & healthy salad to accompany a dinner party I cooked tonight .

I have a few extra available, which will taste even better tomorrow as it marinades in fresh lemon , olive oil, white wine vinegar, fresh herbs and veggies .
As you can see, I have a TON of Greek feta on top!

Monthly Meal for November

Hoirino me Selino Avgolemono (Pork and Celery Stew with Egg-Lemon Sauce)🍋

It’s the perfect comfort food !
It's made with braised pork and celery and finished with an egg-lemon sauce.
I added celery root, leeks , onions ,white wine and seared every piece of pork in olive oil 🫒

This one doesn’t need anything else to accompany it. The celery is the star of the show here! So it was served with some fresh bread for dipping in that beautiful sauce.

Dessert was Mosaiko – A delicious Greek chocolate and biscuit dessert!

Mosaiko, pronounced as moh-say-koh, is a traditional Greek dessert consisting of biscuits and dark chocolate. Traditionally Mosaiko takes on the shape of a log which I like to referred to as "chocolate salami'🍫

In Greek, the name Mosaiko literally means “mosaic”, and when you see this dessert it’s clear why!
