I’m going to do my best to make this short & sweet ☺️
Many of you know us as the faces of Jong Young Flower Market - my Mom, Jasmine - who owned and operated the flower shop for just over 30 years and myself who was in store for the last decade alongside our family who brought the best fresh florals and plants to the downtown core.
We have been overwhelmed with the support over the years and especially during the height of the pandemic. Our loyal customers stood by us and we couldn’t thank them enough.
As most of our customers are aware - my Mom sold the business last year and it has been operated by new ownership since January of 2021. We continued to support new ownership over the last year and half and made sure for a successful transition.
I’d like to announce officially that my Mom and I have resigned from Jong Young Flower Market. We will miss our customers and our work family but this comes with more opportunities for us. My mom has officially come on board to help with the growth of SMD and I couldn’t be any more happier. My mom gets to finally enjoy her retirement ( sort of..lol) and help me grow my business.
We thank everyone for the years of support at JY Flower Market. I couldn’t be more excited for the Future of SMD.

Sarah Melissa Designs is proud to have partnered with the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Toronto Young Professionals’ Committee for a second year in support of their Winter Floral Fundraiser!
For every unique RMHC Toronto bouquet purchased, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to RMHC Toronto. RMHC Toronto has served as a place to call home for families with seriously ill children undergoing treatment. RMHC Toronto encompasses a House for 81 families in downtown Toronto, as well as seven Ronald McDonald Family Rooms in hospitals across the GTA and Sudbury. The Young Professionals’ Committee is a group of members dedicated to raising awareness and funds to support the expansion and success of RMHC Toronto.
