Looking to save some money in your wedding budget?
1. Get away from the traditional wedding favours. You can say no to favours altogether or simply make a small donation to your favourite charity in your guests' honour. Most of the time wedding guests forget their favours on the tables by the end of the night, so it's a waste of money.
2. A plated dinner can become expensive very quickly, especially with multiple courses. Ask if your caterer can do family style bowls on the tables to save a penny or two. Also, buffet style can be a great option. It will save you space on the tables! If you don't want guests serving themselves, some caterers offer servers with the buffet station.
3. Stay away from the designer dresses. Just ask the shop consultant to help you find a dress similar to the designer dress you love. You'll save money and still achieve that special look you envisioned. Don't forget to take a look at the sale rack, you never know what gems are hiding!
4. DIY all the way! Get your hands dirty and make your centerpieces. There are so many ideas on Pinterest or tiktok with step by step guides that will cut your centerpiece cost in half. Make it a fun craft night with your bridesmaids or groomsmen.
