Still coming down off the high of Cherry Hustle's debut party! I'm really lost for words. It was a great way to come back from my mini DJing hiatus. I needed to get that spark and passion back again and Cherry Hustle has done just that. Everyone in attendance, friends new/old, strangers were all so sweet. Open-minded and appreciative to all the tunes. Coming up to the booth so keen and eager to ask what I had just played or just give a fist bump and say "thank you". I just love selecting tunes that bring out the best in people.
In dark and uncertain times the dancefloor is a huge solace to many. It doesn't care about your race, sex, ethnicity, political views etc etc. With the right uplifting music, vibes and people it becomes an inclusive safe space for all. And that's what it was last Friday night.
Thanks again to everyone who made it thru, shared the event and all your kind words of support! I just want to ride this wave for a little while and hopefully create something special with Cherry Hustle.
