Est. 2019 with our first party held Valentine's Day 2020, SLOW FIZZ Northern Soul Club Toronto fast becqme a hidden gem Rare & Northern Soul Vinyl Dance Party! Founded by Cher, vinyl collector of many genres for 25+ years and Northern Soul DJ spinning original vinyl. She became disillusioned by the same pop/classic soul tunes and realized that great B-sides to old releases weren't receiving a prop

er airing and deserved their time to shine on Toronto dance floors and knew club goers would fall in love with them if given a chance. SLOW FIZZ quickly gained the attention and following of expat soulies longing to hear the tunes they grew up dancing to at UK all-nighters and new keen soulies alike looking for a refreshing soul party. It wasn't long after that SLOW FIZZ solidified and distinguished ourselves as a Northern Soul Club. SLOW FIZZ hosts brilliant DJ friends from home and around the globe spinning Rare & Northern Soul, Latin Soul, Deep Funk, Crossover, Modern & Neo Soul! Find us at our monthly residency 3RD Saturdays at Swan Dive and frequent pop ups at Handlebar! We've hosted and guested numerous livestreams from week one of the pandemic. 'Slow Fizz Sunday Sessions' weekly livestreams spotlighted talented vinyl soul DJs from around the globe and SLOW FIZZ All-Dayer was the first all womxn DJ livestreamed soul all-dayer going over 9 hours and featuring 12 DJs from around the globe. ABOUT THE DJ: Graeme is the incredible director and force behind recently released 'PLAY IT LOUD - HOW TORONTO GOT SOUL' which will be opening the 2024-25 Doc Soup season at the Hot Docs Cinema on December 4 and 7. Graeme has been DJing in Toronto for years holding down heavy parties SoulSkank and Rebel Hop to name a few.

ABOUT THE POSTER: This Slow Fizz Rare Soul Dance Party Toronto poster was the original for the 2021 NYE party but unfortunately due to lockdown measures at the time it had to be cancelled. With artist Scott Sugiuchi's gracious permission we've resurrected the poster so it can shine this year in all its splendor online and on the streets of Toronto! Scott was a huge creative and artistic force behind helping me capture my vision for Slow Fizz and her many metamorphosis' lol. I'm so grateful to him and look forward to working with him again on future projects I have lined up in the New Year 😉. I love a good soul poster story. 💕
