“Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” - MLK

We continue to stand in solidarity and reflect on the ultimate sacrifices that have been made for the struggle of freedom. Remembering our fallen sisters and brothers, we are thankful for the freedom we experience here in Canada. We remember each soul that died for us to enjoy this freedom and must ensure their lives were not lost in vain.

Freedom for our kith and kin in our homeland is a right for them as it is a right for us. A right that is worth fighting for and one that deserves our continuous vigilance against powers that try to strip us of this birthright.

Today we thank and reflect on our Maveerar who were not silenced against the fight of freedom. Injustice that still exists should be on the forefronts of our hearts and we should not rest until the injustice that exists is resolved.

Today we reflect and pay homage to the brave souls who have made this sacrifice. We are eternally grateful for their gift to us.
