At the ripe old age of two his parents captured him on cassette (yes, the days before CDs and MP3s) naming current tunes. In his high school years he was often given a piece of paper and the responsibility for coming up with a play-list for dances. But if you asked him back then, he wouldn’t have told you that when he’d grow up he would be making his living as a DJ. It wasn’t until after completin

g a university degree program in Kinesiology that he would have a brush with manning the wheels of steel at a house party early one morning; this would have a profound effect on him. Being a fan of the party scene and flirting with the idea of being a ‘DJ’ this brief experience at the house party planted a seed that finally came to fruition a few years later. Getting his baptism by fire by jumping into the DJ game during the summer of 2007; he has been going full steam ahead ever since. Matty’s outgoing personality on and off the decks has led him to a number of residencies across Toronto including Fly, Footwork, Straight, Lo’la, Fuzion, Voglie, Remy's, Tota, Riva and Li’ly; this is in addition to numerous one-offs and charity events. His talents have gone from the national to international level with bookings across Ontario, the United States, and all the way to Norway. Appearances in major festivals such as WMC in Miami and Pride here in Toronto have helped establish his name. With Matty’s growing popularity he is becoming a staple in the Toronto music scene, from College Street to Church Street. Stay tuned.

FRIDAY, MAY 17th at 7 PM ET we gather to breathe, dance & connect — and to send off Audra & I as we head to Europe for a month to hold a retreat and meet & serve new overseas communities!
This is a larger gathering with Tao blessings/energetic transmissions, cacao ceremony, and an hour of somatic breathwork, which all lead into an ecstatic dance journey (DJ’ed by yours truly) to move some energy and celebrate the self, community and life!
An extended social and light potluck will round out the event.
☕️ Cacao is the plant medicine offering for this ritual. It is a beautiful heart-opening elixir.
🌬️ The BREATH is everything, it happens both consciously and unconsciously. When we bring our awareness to it and breathe with intention - big things can happen.
🌬️ This somatic breathwork invigorates the body, mind and spirit as we bring this up-regulating breath through our bodies, exploring all parts of us.
💃🏻 Dance is another powerful form of medicine to heal the mind, body and soul as physical movement aids in transmuting (stuck and or stagnant) energy held within us.
🕺🏻 My ethos of how I guide ecstatic dance is through the chakra system, from root to crown; the music is to activate these different parts of us and help move the energy through our being.
This whole process is amazing, and when everyone in the group allows their magic to flow, it is an unbelievable experience.
I am incredibly grateful to be a part of it and to be serving in this way.

7 PM - Doors open. **PLEASE ARRIVE between 7-7:15**
7:20 -11 PM - Set container, cacao ceremony, energetic transmission, somatic breathwork (~ 60 mins), ecstatic dance (~90 mins), followed by a grounding meditation & ritual conclusion.
Social & potluck snacks to end the night.
12 AM - Gathering complete.
** THE DOORS WILL BE CLOSED FOR CEREMONY - from approximately 7:20 to 11.
*NO LATE ARRIVALS or “ins and outs” as we are creating and holding the energetic container together.
