Basement Gaming is the place where electronic gaming is more than just a hobby, it’s a lifestyle. What started out as Nick’s Basement in November of 2014, quickly rose to become a place where gamers could take their skills to new heights and compete for actual prizes, interact with other gamers to grow their own personal network, and finally unite under one banner in the GTA to promote electronic
gaming for all the good it has done for people worldwide. Electronic gaming wasn’t always the hip thing to do on a Saturday and it definitely never roared with appeal when it came to be socially acceptable. To the owners Roshawn and Nick, however, it was much more as they established some of their most cherished and long-lasting connections through the now world renowned sport. As years went by, electronic gaming became increasingly popular but the creation of exclusivity and acceptance based on clique mentalities began to litter environments quicker than a round facing your buddy who used to be great at gaming “years ago” would be. This is where Basement Gaming gets its roots and declares itself as the place to conquer competitive gaming but have a damn good time while doing it. Basement Gaming isn’t about a name, a title, or money, it is about the people which come and participate each week. Whether it’s the people who sit in the seats or stand in support cheering on, they are what matter and what drives Basement Gaming to open its doors to anyone up to take the challenge. One thing we should make clear to you as well, the one foundational fact about coming to The Basement:
You will become the best gamer you can be on and off the fight pad or stick. While being a community team of gamers welcoming all to promote the lifestyle, we have a competitive drive. This pushes everyone at The Basement Gaming to accelerate their skills to the best they can be, supporting the acceleration of the skills in your fellow Basement Gamers, and most importantly enjoying every second of it.
