Happy Chinese Lunar New Year! ็ฅๆจๆฐๅนดๅฟซไน,่บซไฝๅฅๅบท!
Feeling very blessed for the abundance of projects that we have had the privilege to be a part of, for a season/holiday that is very special to me.
As a Chinese Canadian, I have celebrated the Chinese new year every year with family growing up and my mom has lovingly passed down her traditions to me. We dress up, we feast with family, we share new year greetings with one another and we collect red pockets. We couldn't wash our hair on new years day or we would wash away our luck, and we had to clean the house for new years eve.
If we were lucky, we got to hear the clanging symbols and drums that welcomed the lion dancer's performance. The new year felt complete with the lion dancers.
The traditions used to feel like a chore as a child, but they have now become my traditions that I gladly celebrate. Now they are traditions I get to proudly share with clients for work.
It honestly is surreal and fills me with joy to help so many businesses and brands celebrate this beloved holiday in a big and beautiful way every year. Although I am not doing TV this year, it was also so special to be able to share my Lunar New Year traditions for so many years on Cityline and Breakfast Television.
This year, I am wishing everyone health, joy and happiness abounding. We all could use a little bit more of this. ๐งง๐๐ธโฅ๏ธ
