Leap of Faith

My Dad, Garcia’s, final words to me. He’s still here with us, alive, however he can hardly gather the ability to speak out words anymore. Mainly small nods and shakes.

So here, now, is a reminder to take that Leap of Faith.

That scary next step.

I’ve taken many of these throughout my life and I’m faced with even bigger ones before me and they frighten the heck outta me. As they always will and I’ll go and do them anyways.

I now have a constant reminder to trust the process, take that leap, and continue learning.

Each time I think of how scary something may be, I’ll remember Garcia’s words “Leap of Faith” and keep on making them. Stack them on top of each other and build that life worth living.

Swipe to see how I went from easy pz first 30km to analyzing my life decisions extremely difficult last 12km

One thing I learned is that having a strong “why” is extremely important to accomplishing difficult goals.

What they don’t tell you is that it doesn’t make it less difficult. It’s still f*kin tough.

What the why does is it helps you to keep going. When everything and everyone around you is saying quit, to dig down deep and persist through the sh*t.

A lesson that I’m so grateful for.

Doing it for my Dad helped remind me to dig deep.

And now the recovery has been quite the process. I’m running short distances again every so often. Nothing crazy, I’m definitely itching to hit 60 minute runs again tho!

I think I’m close to recovered tho. I’m feeling great!

Btw… I’m currently in Prince George and there’s this 26km loop around the city that looks oh so tempting… but I shouldn’t…
