Vicky Mboko Can’t Be Stopped! 🔥🎾

3 tournaments. 3 titles. 1 unstoppable run. Vicky Mboko (18, Burlington) has done it again, claiming her third straight ITF singles title at the W75 in Rome, Georgia!

After battling through qualifiers, she took down Eva Vedder (NED) 7-5, 6-3 in the final—pushing her WTA world ranking to a career-high #215!

She’s the only player on the ITF Women’s Tour with 3 tournament wins in 2025!

Green Means Go Kicks Off 2025 at Sobeys!🎾

The first Green Means Go clinic of 2025 was a smash! Twenty 50+ players from Mimico TC & Central TC hit the courts at Sobeys Stadium for a fun-filled day of round-robin play, instruction & giveaways!

What is Green Means Go? This OTA program gives older adults (50-64) & seniors (65+) the chance to enjoy tennis through low-impact beginner/intermediate clinics at clubs and indoor venues. Using progressive tennis equipment & green dot balls, players experience longer rallies and a smoother transition into the game! 🎾

A big shoutout to Ron Gillis (Central TC) & Anne Wood (Mimico TC) for organizing this fantastic event last week!

Last week, the OTA Outreach Team joined 30+ exhibitors at the 11th annual Holland Bloorview Recreation Respite & Life Skills Fair in Toronto! With over 300 attendees, it was an incredible opportunity to connect with families and promote our Wheelchair Tennis Try & Coaching Programs!

Former OTA Junior Champion Liam Draxl (Newmarket) is on a roll! 💪
At the Oeiras Open 3 ATP Challenger 100 in Portugal, he fought his way from qualifiers to the singles final and took home the doubles title with fellow Canadian Cleve Harper!

🏆Career-high rankings!
#183 in singles
#113 in doubles

And to top it off… both Liam & Cleve have been named to the Davis Cup team!👏
