Outstanding international results for Ontario athletes this week.

Ariana Arseneault (Richmond Hill) & Raphaelle Lacasse captured the ITF W50 doubles title in Mexico, winning a tight championship match and earning Arseneault her third ITF doubles title of 2025 and ninth overall.

Meanwhile, Duncan Chan (Markham) reached the ATP 75 Challenger final in Drummondville after a series of impressive performances. His finalist run elevated his ATP World Ranking by 790 places, moving him to No. 650.

Congratulations to Ariana, Raphaelle, and Duncan on their exceptional achievements and continued progress on the international stage.

Canada is heading to the 2026 Billie Jean King Cup Qualifiers! ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐ŸŽพ
Team Canada topped Group A in Mexico last week with wins over Denmark (2โ€“1) and Mexico (2โ€“0), securing their spot in next yearโ€™s Qualifiers.

Led by first-time captain Marie-รˆve Pelletier, the team featured a strong Ontario presence: Victoria Mboko (Burlington), Marina Stakusic (Mississauga), Gabriela Dabrowski (Ottawa), and Cadence Brace (Toronto) โ€” joined by Carson Branstine of Montreal.

An impressive effort from a powerhouse group.

Another Successful Green Means Go Event at Sobeys Stadium ๐ŸŽพโœจ

Members from Valley Tennis Club and Kew Gardens Tennis Club enjoyed an engaging evening at Sobeys Stadium as part of the OTAโ€™s Green Means Go program for 50+ players. Participants took part in a mix of singles and doubles play, received valuable coaching tips, and got to try Yonex demo racquets with giveaways for everyone.

A big thank you to Wendy Moore (Valley) and Ira Sherman (Kew) for organizing the players and making the evening a success.

Green Means Go is designed to provide 50+ players with fun, fitness, and social tennis opportunities.

The 2025/26 OFSAA Tennis Championships brought together over 430 athletes from 180+ Ontario Secondary Schools, playing 500+ matches across 10 divisions at six GTA locations!

This past weekend at Sobeys Stadium, 16 top players from across the GTA battled it out in the Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced divisions.

On Nov 8, 52 girls across 13 teams (ages 9โ€“17) came together for an exciting junior tennis event combining the GIRLS. SET. MATCH. program and Tennis ROCKS team tournaments!
