Every season I’m amazed at the beauty of these tall, long lasting flowers that come in the most vibrant colours we source. They deserve to stand alone, adding a touch of beauty to any room.

The dahlias have started to bloom!

These were started indoors from tubers about April 15th, planted May 15th and blooming July 15. (Zone 6a) Not all are this far along at 90 days.

Early bloomers appear to be Linda's Baby, Rock Run Ashley, and there's one Ivanetti in there.

This season we will be away from the Brooklin market during the month of July, returning in August.

In the meantime, Bouquets and Mason Jars will be available beginning in the next week or so. We don't want you to miss out on the start of dahlia season!

Ranunculus at the Brooklin Farmers Market tomorrow! Unfortunately the heat this past week has really limited our harvest of these beauties so this will most likely be our only ranunculus offering this summer.

I'm going to test planting another succession in July in the hopes of getting a fall harvest this year. They don't like it hot but the cooler days in September may work!

This Saturday we'll be bringing more Peony bunches, mason jars, eucalyptus plants and dahlia plant starters.

If you missed getting tubers planted, we have some fresh, healthy plants already growing in pots that you can drop into your garden, some blooming as early as July. It's not too late!

The Brooklin Farmers Market opens this Saturday and we'll be kicking off the season with some gorgeous Peonies, Dahlias ready to plant in your garden and some eucalyptus pots.

Yesterday I woke up the dahlia tubers that were in storage over the winter and we have an almost 100% success rate!

Many of you expressed interest last fall in purchasing some tubers to grow your own gorgeous dahlias this summer.

These varieties are used in all of our beautiful bouquets in our favorite colours. Pick up is available in the Whitby area.

Thanksgiving weekend is just a few short days away! It also marks the end of our season at the Brooklin Farmers Market.

We often sell out early during this holiday so please come early for the best selection!

Dahlias continue to highlight our bouquets and mason jars. We are so grateful to for allowing us to provide our customers with the most stunning selection of these beauties!

This week you can also pre-order from our website and pick up at the Brooklin Farmers Market on Saturday October 7th. (3 Vipond Rd, Brooklin, 9am to 2pm)

We are crazy busy preparing for the Brookin Harvest Festival tomorrow and invite you all to come out and enjoy the festivities!

We will have bunches and bunches of beautiful dahlias just harvested thanks to my flower farmer friend Heather , Mason jar arrangements, dried flower pumpkins and more!

I will try to post some pics later today.

We will be located at the same location as last year on Brooklin Main Street between Campbell and Way Street.

A quick reminder that unfortunately we will NOT be at the market for the next 2 Saturdays after tomorrow but back again for the Brooklin Harvest Festival on Saturday September 16th and then until Thanksgiving.

This week starts from August 10th to the 16th!

Canadian Flowers Week is an initiative that raises awareness and celebrates the bounty of locally grown flowers from Flower Farmers across Canada.

As a very small grower I am always in awe of the beauty, hard work and creativity of the growers just in our area alone.

There are those that sell flower subscriptions, attend Farmer Markets, operate cut your own flower farms, work in design studios, do workshops and full out wedding events.

And let's not forget about the suppliers who sell us our specialty cut flower seeds, corms, tubers etc, that allow us to bring the best and most unique flowers to you.

Canadian Flower Growers are a dedicated, curious, resilient and collaborative bunch and I'm so very happy to be a part of this group!

Thank you all for supporting us by buying locally grown flowers! It means so much!

The first Dahlia bloom of the season. This one's called Linda's Baby, a beautiful peachy pink.

All of the dahlias are budding up nicely and we should have bouquets of these beauties in a few weeks!

We won't be at the Brooklin Market for Canada Day but will be back Saturday July 8th.

It's the last weekend for peony bunches and ranunculus at the Brooklin Farmers Market tomorrow!

Opening day at the Brooklin Farmers Market always starts with our first crop of ranunculus!

Colours in romantic pinks, peachy corals, warm apricots and elegant whites await!

I know we are all feeling the pinch of prices soaring so we'll be offering these in bunches of 5, 7 and 10 stems so there's something for everyone!

Send me a message if you want me to put any aside for you to pickup at the market this Saturday June 11th.
