Euclid Farms is a small-scale urban flower farm and floral studio, located in West Queen West. We grow chemical-free cut flowers from May to November, support other local growers, and import when necessary. We are 100% flower foam-free, recycle our vases as much as possible, and continue to work to reduce our use of plastic with every arrangement and bouquet that we sell. We think that it's very i

mportant when working with natural products that we protect our natural world at the same time. We grow most of our fresh blooms at our urban flower farm in warmer months, and support and shop locally as much as much as possible. We source the flowers we don't grow ourselves from local farms and rely on imports only when necessary. In terms of packaging, all of our packaging is recyclable, reused, or compostable. We wrap all of our bouquets in paper and do our best to reduce the amount of plastic used in our shop. We are 100% flower-foam free, and do not support the use of toxic chemicals in our own growing process. When growing and sourcing fresh flowers, we do our best to select varieties that we can dry ourselves to be used in our dried bouquets and arrangements. Our dried flowers (those we import) are sourced from around the world. Many varieties of dried flowers we use have been dyed or bleaches, but we strive to always create beautiful and interesting floral arrangements with a variety of stems. We continue to search for more eco-friendly options and alternatives to the use of chemicals and bleach in our imports.

👻 HAPPY HALLOWEEN! 👻

Did you know, our ghost theme was inspired by our actual shop ghost!? Yes that’s right, Euclid Farms… is haunted.

It started years ago, when we first moved into the space. Lights would flicker, items would fall off of shelves, minor things.

One year for Halloween we decided to dress up like iconic movie killers; Jason, Michael, Chucky and Freddie. After Halloween we left Freddie’s hat hung up in the office. The next morning, it was up side down in the middle of the room, with a fire ball shot in it (THIS LEGIT HAPPENED). From then on, our ghost’s name has been Freddie, and we leave his hat on its peg in the office for whenever he chooses to get up to some mischief.

Sometimes he decides to open the basement door while we are all processing flowers. He often makes the office lights flicker when we speak of him. Once he knocked our hanging display out of the window at 4 am… from two separate hooks.

Freddie is a part of our family now and we celebrate him every Halloween. Next time you walk by the shop late at night, peak in the window… Freddie might send you a sign he’s watching! 👻

Are you starting to cut down your dahlias?! Check for seed pods when you do!

Dahlia seed pods are pointy tipped spent flower buds, that look similar to flower buds, but may be full of pollinated dahlia seeds! YES you can grow dahlias from SEED!

They may still be wet to the touch and green on the stem, or brown and dried out. Either way, save them before composting your dahlia plants. When you peel back the layers, look for hard, dark, oblong looking seeds. Leave them out to dry and then store in a paper envelope for next season.

Dahlias have 8 sets of chromosomes, 4 times the amount of most plants, which means you really never know what you’ll get with each seed! Each dahlia grown from seed will produce its own set of tubers at the end of the season that you can either save (if you liked it) or compost.

Growing dahlias from seed is the easiest flower growing experiment there is (says me) and well worth a try!

*if you already got rid of your plants and saved no seeds don’t stress cause we save a lot and will have dahlia seeds for sale in the spring 😉
