THIS SATURDAY! Be outside our doors by 10am to snag a raffle ticket to earn the chance to purchase one of the 50 ‘Wicked: The Soundtrack (RSD Edition)’ available.

With the cruel amount of flippers out there taking advantage of passionate Ozians, this draw is the best way to distribute these restocks fairly.

• April 26th @ 10am: ballots will be distributed to everyone in queue.
• 50 fans will be selected randomly from the ballots, who earn the opportunity to purchase a copy of ‘Wicked’ by 11am.
• In person only. Absolutely no online orders.
• We reserve the right to deny the offer of purchase to anyone we suspect is a reseller.

Don’t arrive any earlier than 9am, your place in queue doesn’t increase your chances.

One week later, the team is still feverishly packing RSD orders. More oversells were filled today with some restocks that we scored last week.

All copies of WICKED have been allocated to fans who purchased on RSD Saturday. Check your voicemail as we left dozens of messages.

And that’s a wrap on the first week of RSD shipments! We have LOTS to ship out on Monday and Tuesday, so be patient if you haven’t got a ship notice yet. Every day this week, the team pushed out 200 orders, just like this.

Many orders that had oversold copies were saved by getting extras where we could. It still meant cancelling tons of copies we could no longer source. You hated getting those emails as much as we hated sending them.

We already have ideas next year to have LESS eyes on our site on RSD Sunday. Fans literally broke pop-music.ca trying to score Swift, Malone and other key RSD titles that we could have just sold in-store.

Thanks to Leanna, Adam, Brad, Ryan and Brett for dealing with this insanely complex week. The phone calls and emails weren’t always kind.

Thanks to Lydia for hauling away hundreds of RSD orders. The next ship date is MONDAY!

Retail is CLOSED for Good Friday, but open regular hours Saturday and on Easter Sunday, so come get your pick up orders ASAP.

WICKED: 50 copies land Tuesday that will entirely go to fans who bought on RSD. We’re hopeful to have another shipment to share next Saturday via draw. More on that soon!

Today is the day we start allocating this RSD Essentials edition of The Smashing Pumpkins’ ‘Siamese Dream’.

The RED SMOKE vinyl is gorgeous and the album is a staple in any 90s record collection.

Phew! We can start calling the fans who bought theirs on Saturday… it’s no secret that WICKED was late across Canada, causing panic everywhere.

However, we knew these were coming today and made sure to appease as many Ozians as possible who were in our RSD queue. More will land soon, to fill more of those receipts.

Thank goodness, we didn’t put up any extra copies online Sunday morning. The website crash was due to unprecedented traffic never experienced before. This would have made it explode even more.

Stay tuned for an update, but in the meantime stop supporting flippers trying to cash in. There will be plenty available on a special release day, very soon - only at our retail store.

SHIPPING BACKEND ISSUE - unexpected sync issue preventing orders from being completed. Also impacting shipping options outside of Canada.

UPDATE: 8:38am - Live rates are back! Orders are going through as normal. All orders placed during the outage are being reviewed by the team to ensure proper postage was paid. Many U.S. orders are being cancelled due to the glitch.

All remaining RSD stock (+ titles on their way to us), we be available to purchase online at POP-MUSIC.CA starting at 8am EST.

We are trying a new system update this year, so be patient in case there’s a delay. This should prevent our usual lag time that happens with RSD titles.

Some titles may get restocked, so sign up for the email alert if you encounter a sell-out.

Oversells are common, so your order may be cancelled based on the time stamp. It’s not personal, and orders are not guaranteed until you get a ship notice or pick up notice.

Pay attention to payment because if you mess up any bank card details, your order will not be approved and your cart will be released.

FREE SHIPPING is available on orders over $185 Canada-wide. Toronto-area TREXITY delivery orders will ship out on Monday. We are not combining multiple orders to ‘get you’ free shipping. Too much opportunity for ship errors.

IN-STORE PICK-UP: please do not come to the store until you’ve received an email that confirms your items are ready for pick up.

All titles not “here” will have a “in-transit” message. Most of these restocks will arrive by April 18th, if not sooner.

It’s a crazy flipper market out there, and we must do everything we can to prevent and discourage these people from abusing our website for their personal gain.

Thank you to everybody who came out today! This was the biggest turnout we’ve ever had. We greatly appreciate how patient everyone was - as fans had their moment to shop in our space.

It never used to be an overnight experience of fans waiting for us to open, however, this is the new culture of RSD going forward and it’s not going to change. The current vinyl audience has never been younger, and they are more passionate (and patient) than you could imagine.

We hope that you got many of the titles on your wish list, as we definitely spent weeks preparing the product offer that you saw today. Ordering RSD titles is no simple task, but we are grateful that people really showed up today and it was absolutely incredible.

RSD online starts tomorrow at 8AM Eastern. In 2024, over 600 orders replaced in the first hour by fans from all around the world. Please review this story we just shared to our followers about what to expect.
