👉 The first session of the day, moderated by Patricia Tomasi, Amanda Mihalicz recognized for her work in the mental health industry, shared her research on empowering mothers with mental illness including schizophrenia. Amanda emphasized breaking stigma and providing evidence-based support to help mothers thrive.

A delegate shared a moving story about a coworker raised by a loving mother with schizophrenia:

“With the right support, she was an amazing parent. We need to break the stigma—parents with schizophrenia can be incredible when given the chance.”🤝
