Writing your wedding vows can be a daunting task.
Baring your soul to the love of your life, in front of friends and family can be terrifying.
However, it can be so beautiful and romantic.
It’s a glimpse into your love story and those who get to witness it, will likely not forget it.

Tips:
📝Try to focus only on your partner.
Talk about why you love them, what you are looking forward to, and make promises to each other.

📝Practise reading your vows.
This will help with emotions that may get the best of you.
You will be more comfortable with what you’ve written, and can memorize some of it so you can have eye contact and an authentic delivery.

📝Keep the vows to yourself so it’s a surprise for everyone.

📝Add in some humour and definitely pour your heart out.

💰𝐒𝐞𝐭 𝐚 𝐁𝐮𝐝𝐠𝐞𝐭 ~It doesn’t matter if you have unlimited funds to spend on your wedding, or if you need to keep a tighter reign on it.
Everyone should have an amount in their minds that both parties agree on.

We can’t control how much you spend or what you spend it on. That is ultimately your decision.

As your wedding planner, we will remind you when you are getting close to your specified budget and offer suggestions on how best to keep it in check.
You can then decide if you want to scale back, or spend the new amount which will ultimately increase your budget.
Your guest list has a lot to do with the budget.

If you are dreaming of luxury tabletops and florals galore, but are finding it hard to stay within your budget, the best solution is to reduce the number of guests to accommodate these dreams.

The fewer tables that you have to add your upgraded linens, candelabras, and overflowing floral centrepieces ultimately saves you money.

Also, and most importantly, a smaller guest list gives you more time to spend with everyone you care about.

If you are serious about adding styling to your services, than you definitely want to have a styling kit to bring along with you to your weddings and styled shoots.

💕Love letters 💕
I am such a sucker for all things true love and super heartfelt and romantic.

My brother and his girlfriend did something so beautiful for Valentine’s Day, and I have to share it.

They write love letters to each other and they bought each other a wooden love letter box to store them in to keep safe forever.
Isn’t that beautiful?

I’ve kept all of my favourite special cards/letters from my hubby over the years.

In fact, I still have a few love letters and a poem in an old heart-shaped chocolate box from an old boyfriend from over 26 years ago.

Emails/texts/WhatsApp/DM’s just can’t compare.

Happy Friday!
Anyone else loving headbands these days?
(I used to wear them when I was a teen, and wanted to look like Madonna.) 😊

We have been working on some beautiful editorials recently, and I am really enjoying putting together wedding flat lays.

There is no right or wrong way to do it, and it definitely encourages creative freedom.

Wedding stationery deserves more credit, so why not show your couples how their investment in beautiful paper goods can be a photo op all on their own?

I’m so excited about this week's upcoming styled shoot!
It’s been two months in the making, and we are almost ready.
I’m just making sure that my mood board fits my objective on a larger scale on our office wall.

I really do like varying shades of colour, but it always seems like I make it revert back to shades of pinks 𝓂𝑜𝓈𝓉 𝑜𝒻 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝓉𝒾𝓂𝑒🤷‍♀️

Since this will be a somewhat large scale production, it’s even more important to have it well-organized with timelines, vendor communication, mood boards, contracts, model release forms and a backup ☔️ plan, and of course, an amazing team of wedding pros to bring it to life!

“Something Old and Something New, Something Borrowed and Something Blue”

You’ve probably heard the saying before. It’s from an old English rhyme, “Something Olde, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue, A Sixpence in your Shoe”.

“Something old” symbolizes continuity; “something new” offers optimism for the future; “something borrowed” represents borrowed happiness; and “something blue” stands for purity, love and fidelity.

Weddings are the perfect time to remember and celebrate the strength and bond of family and love, and it doesn’t need to be all-encompassing. In fact, subtle goes such a long way.

Why do they never come out the same way twice?!?
I have to admit that working with these beautiful velvet napkins from Table Tales last week was way easier then I expected it to be.
