Performers: are you tired of seeing a monocultural audience from the stage?

Audience members: when you go to the theatre, do you notice the gap in diversity between the streets of Toronto and performing arts venues?

b current is bringing you year round, exceptional programming for free. The Wheel of the Year Walks were created with accessibility in mind. Conceived as an experience for all, including those who might be intimidated by performing arts venues and the art world, the Walks go to marginalised neighbourhoods to meet the next generation of audience members where they live.

Times are tough, but, if you are able to, we ask that you donate to b current so we can continue work where accessibility is lived from the inside out.

Please share. Thank you.

b current Performing Arts presents: WHEEL OF THE YEAR WALKS
Walk the year with us

We are super excited to announce this new project. Every six weeks, a new Black and Brown artist will take you through a new neighbourhood in Toronto which they have a close connection to. We couldn’t be luckier to have the Switch Collective to start us off. Members of this collective have been doing all manner of neighbourhood work in Parkdale, whether it be artistic or straight up community work.

You can download the Echoes app and… go! Echoes creates sound mapping and spatial audio experiences and artists will use different possibilities of the technology to give you a unique experience.

Starts on the 1st of November. In Parkdale.

Come and walk the year with us.
