Maple Syrup: A Canadian Love story
Our Maple love story started at the age of 3, when as a new Canadian, went to visit a traditional Cabane ร Sucre - Sugar Shack - in Montreal, Canada. It was truly love at first sight. The aroma of the boiling maple syrup was intoxicating. Cooked maple syrup was being poured, like melted Gold, on a white bed of snow. The taste was unlike anything else. Not sugar, not honey, not candy, but delicious, buttery, MAPLE flavour! A flavour unlike anything else in the world. This is why we use 100% pure Maple Syrup for our taffy, because there is no substitute for Maple. No Aunt Jemima, no corn syrup, no refined sugar - just pure, honest-to-goodness Ontario Maple syrup!
Many of our clients have similar childhood memories and feel immense joy when they spot our catered station. Being able to do something this special, bringing the outdoor Northern experience, inside and year-round, gives us a great sense of pride. Pride in being able to share this rich cultural experience, not only with locals, but those visiting from across the pond or overseas.
