This year is a special one. Celebrating 60 shucking years of the Tyne Valley Oyster Festival this August. 🦪👏🏻

60 Shuckin' Years! 🦪

In honor of celebrating the 60th year of the Tyne Valley Oyster Festival, we are heading back to our roots and hauling the boat back to the barn! 🔙

We are looking forward to creating this years TVOF/RTB solely based on the history and tradition of the festival.

We can't wait to see you all at the Cavendish Farms Community Events Centre this August 3rd for its first ever concert underneath the roof. 🎶💃

‼️We need YOUR help‼️

Supporters of the Tyne Valley Oyster Festival and Rock the Boat Music Festival know how important our local volunteers are to our community.

If you have a second, help support our local fire fighters by clicking on the photo shared below and help them win funds for their department.

The Tyne Valley Fire Department were vital volunteers during the fire of our beloved previous rink in 2019, and can always been seen helping around the concert site the week of the festival.

We do a big musical production, and the kids can be heard singing our songs months later, so we know our message is working! We are also one of the only independent fire departments on PEI."

What a night 🎶
Whether it was rain or sun, y’all gave us the best year yet. We loved every second of this weekend with you and can’t wait to see what the next year brings.
For tonight, we’ll be humming along to all the jams Fabulously Rich brought to Tyne Valley.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Glass Tiger will not be performing at Rock The Boat today (August 6th).
A message from Glass Tiger Management, Andrew Turner (Enlightened Management)
“It is with great regret that Glass Tiger will be unable to perform tonight. The bands lead singer (Alan Frew) has a throat infection. He has been on antibiotics and resting. We had hopes he would turn the corner when he and the band travelled to PEI on Saturday. Unfortunately, he has no voice at all today.”
A message from Rock The Boat Music Festival, Jonathan Smith (Festival Board Chair)

“We are disappointed to learn that Glass Tiger will not be performing as planned, but we do wish Alan Frew a quick recovery. The festival will go forward, as we continue to celebrate the beautiful town of Tyne Valley and our community. The line-up will continue with the remaining acts, with The Fabulously Rich closing out the 2023 festival.”

Day one may have started with some rain but that didn’t hold us back!
We had the best day with you, and we can’t wait to do it all again tomorrow (especially with a forecast full of sun ☀️)
