Human Connection
I love the human connection. That quiet confirmation from a touch or a look. The way you know two people care for each other just by seeing them interact. People amaze me every day and making pictures to show proof of their lives gives me such joy. 💚
There is something about putting a year's worth of work together to remind myself why I do this. Thank you for sharing your families with me last year and allowing me to make beautiful memories for you and your future generations. 💚
My Little Peanut

Sarah & Vince
It's always incredibly special when the love is genuine and shines through all of the planning, coordinating, and maybe a little stress. I'm so honoured when friends ask me to document their wedding days and this one was no exception.
To my beautiful friends... may your days be filled with tender moments and your nights be filled with sexy dates and campfires with friends.💚

Birthday Parties Rock!
Gathering the family for a birthday party? Why not put your phone down, enjoy the day, and let me come and hang out? I'm a big fan of balloons, cake, three-year-olds, and hugs from Aunt Sue.
❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🖤🤎
What is your family doing this summer? Trips to the park? Afternoons swimming? Lazy puzzle days? Or maybe you will have family visiting from out of town or are headed out to the camp for the day. Any day is a great day to put down your phone, be present with your family, and have me tag along for the fun.
Family day sessions are about you and your real life. I want to capture those fun everyday moments to share with your future generations. Giving your future family the gift of seeing what your life was really like is very special. AND this summer, documentary sessions are on sale! I have just a few dates left. Want to know more? Send me a message and we can chat.
Documenting your life.
What will it look like when I document your day?
I get asked all the time, what is documentary photography?
Will I still get a formal portrait session and pictures of my family?
Absolutely yes. How I do answer the question is like this… it is my whole goal to create pictures of you and your family during the time I’m with you that make you feel what it was like to be there. I want to tell the story of you to anyone who looks at the pictures, including your future generations.
I love looking back at old pictures of my family. Especially the ones where I can almost feel how it was to be there. I can hear their laughter or their hugs. I can smile with them and gain a little more insight into what their life was like.
This is why I love documenting people. This is why I make pictures for you.
The best way I can explain it is to show you. Josh & Haley had to split up their plans because of the pandemic. There were many challenges, but in the end, they were united and surrounded by their people. This video is how it felt to be there. 💚
Let's make a plan to document your day!
I'm so grateful to you, my beautiful clients, for this past year. It came with challenges for sure but spending time with you and your families was some of the highlights of my year. Thank you for your love and trust and for giving me the privilege to create pictures of your important days and amazing families. Wishing each of you a wonderful New Year! xo Sarah
I hope each of you had a wonderful weekend!
Now more than ever before we are spending more time with our families doing everyday activities. There is no extra social excitement or travelling. There is no play dates or visits with friends. We are slowing down and taking the time to just be present in our own lives.
For me that's not always easy. I often feel anxious over the uncertainty of the next few months and miss making plans for adventures. But what I have been able to do more of is take care of myself and my family. I move so fast through life most days that I often forget to appreciate all that I have right in front of me.
I had the beautiful opportunity to photography every day life just before everything went sideways. Lindsey, Sue and their boys allowed me to document them on an everyday Saturday and I had so much fun. These are some of my favourite pictures. I can't wait until I can visit again soon.
Take good care of yourselves and your families... xo Sarah
Calvin turns ONE!
My family brings me such joy and happiness. I love to tell my story and share where I've come from. I am the product of hardworking and caring people. I come from airplane pilots, businessmen and caregivers. I am an only child but one of almost a hundred grandchildren because my mother and father's parents had 28 children between them. They are my family. They are my sons family.
I often have the privileged, and I truly believe it's a privileged, to be a part of other families too. I get to document their happy moments, their challenges and sometimes their tears. I take this opportunity personally and work really hard to make pictures that tell their stories. My friend Nicole is one of the strongest people I know. From the very first moment we met I knew that our paths were supposed to cross. Over the past few years I've had the opportunity to meet her family and really feel like an honorary member. So any time I get the chance to come to a family event and make pictures for her I say absolutely!
Her youngest son, Calvin, is my buddy. And he turned one this month! I was able to be a part of his family birthday party and these are the pictures that I made.
Hug your family today and remember that there is peace and beauty right inside you and your family. xo💚
