The Partners of Cheshire, Jeff Lucas, Dan Mayer and Scott Putnam, stand with all survivors & will not be silent participants in r**e culture. We are committed to a zero r**e culture and are reviewing all events, artists, and consultants. Cheshire Productions has three independent contractors that work on the team: Luke Telidetzki, Gerrit Beerda , and Jem Mathieson. Our street team consists of 10 contractors . In Victoria, we have Max Phillips.
If you have any incidents regarding the Cheshire Team, we support shining a light into all the dark corners and will not sweep anything aside. It is time for change and action in all industries. Below is a statement from our policies & we will be adding the entire document and resources to our website. Early 2020, we created a formal anti-harassment policy and Safer Spaces Initiative specific for Cheshire Productions. If you have any concerns and would like to have a dialogue, we are here ready to listen, hold space, look at ourselves, and grow. We will create a specific action plan, publish it, and embody it.
Cheshire Productions and all its Events supports and strives to embody the Safer Spaces initiatives. Any behavior at events, and including outside the venues, social media in all forms, that is harassing, abusive, discriminatory, and exploitative, will not be tolerated. These behaviors are grounds for removal and banning from all Cheshire events, including partners’ Venues or Companies.
Artists with a history of abusive or discriminatory behaviour, or behaviour that is otherwise deemed detrimental to the creation of Safer Spaces at Cheshire events, are not welcome at Cheshire events. All programming decisions are made in consideration of these concerns using the fullest extent of our knowledge.
Cheshire believes survivors. We reserve the right to cancel any artist, without payment or other compensation, who we believe to have a history of abusive or discriminatory behaviour, or behaviour that is otherwise deemed detrimental to the creation of Safer Spaces at Cheshire events and its partners. The safety of survivors is always our primary consideration, and any decision to cancel an artist will be made on a case-by-case basis in consultation with survivors when possible.
