It all started with childhood visits to my grandmother’s camera store in Red Deer AB, in fact she gave me my first film camera. I recognized my calling in 2004 when I turned my lifelong passion for photography into a full-time endeavor. My professional experience includes work for weddings, portraiture, and photojournalism as well as corporate, lifestyle, sports, and outdoor adventure photography.

When you work with me, you’ll find that I’m not afraid to get down in the dirt or immerse myself in the occasion for the perfect shot. I know that your important moments only happen once and I don’t plan on missing a single one.

Did you know I did an internship for a newspaper? Day one a huge grass fire brick out and ripped through acres of farm land. My first news story and this photo made the cover. Obviously I didn’t follow that career path. As I like when the moments are happy and come to me HAHAHA.

Did you know I became an Alberta marriage commissioner? It’s been the most rewarding journey. Yes, Cole Hofstra Photography still exists. BUT my focus has become corporate, family, and couples sessions. That’s right, for weddings I will be on the other side of the camera! So if you want to keep following the adventures go to Big shout out to all the amazing photographers I’ve been working with over the past two years! This pic by is a highlight for sure!
