Hi! My name is Rebecca, and I am the face behind . This is my why:

I was born again with the birth of my children. My experiences bringing my first baby into the world, followed by the gravity of responsibility for a new life awoke something inside of me, a protective energy and heart wrenching pull towards intuitive and holistic health. I owe the change in perspective, lifestyle and the fierceness in my advocacy to my daughter. This paved the way for an entirely different approach to the pregnancy and birth of my second child.

I was just as sick as the first time, I gained about the same amount of weight and my cravings were similar, I had hypertension with my first and the same plus pre eclampsia with my second. Except everything was different.
The way I viewed the childbearing stages I thought I knew was entirely changed. The way I viewed my symptoms, the care I sought, the way I prepared for birth, and the mindset I had going into the main event was new. The way I handled labour and the management techniques were completely different. And it changed everything.
I had an empowered, beautiful, and reclaiming birth. My body and mind felt incredible pride and redemption.
I walked out entirely renewed and with a new love and appreciation for myself and my body. I was stronger. And I owe that to my son.

Through birthing and mothering, I’ve learned that advocacy for the well-being and health of our children, ourselves and birth is more important than ever.
Knowledge, intuition, advocacy and the power of choice are the key to empowered birth. It is my goal in life to support and guide mothers through a beautiful and empowered journey to meet their babies.

When Laura + Ronny’s original plans switched courses they flipped their shoes off, said to heck with their previous plans, and got married in the forest! It was a whirlwind of a day but ended on such a perfect note.

Tangled up in youuu.

I’ve had the honour of photographing Nicole and her beautiful family for a little over 4 years now, so when she messaged me wanting to book an anniversary shoot for her + Blair I was OVER THE MOON!

I met up with them at their adorable treehouse style Airbnb over on the Sunshine Coast where they got lost in each other 🔥 Later on we hit up a nearby beach to run along the seaside.

It was the best day! Thank you for having me tag along for the ride + capture your love at this stage in life .schurmann. It has been a blast watching your family + love grow over the years 💫

Some things I love lately->

Taking evening walks through my neighbourhood to look at all the older houses. Staying up late watching scary movies. Meeting my friends at the nearest (or farthest) brewery. Snuggling up to our baby boy, Iverson. Walking along the oceanside, squishing my toes in the sand + breathing in the salt water air. I love my people, my dogs, my plants, and documenting meaningful moments.
