Make sure everyone’s on the same page! Send your wedding day timeline to all your vendors so they know where they need to be and when. It’ll make your day go off without a hitch!

To cake or not to cake. That is often a question clients ask. Should they order a cake & do the whole cake cutting or just stick with the dessert that is typically provided by the caterer.

Each couple is different & some still value the cake photo or the tradition of cutting the cake. Others are happy to not add one more thing to worry about or buy.

Being a bridesmaid is an honor, but it’s also a big responsibility (and let’s not forget the costs)! 💸 While it's all worth it to celebrate your bestie's big day, here’s a quick breakdown of what you might be spending as a bridesmaid:
👗 The Dress: Whether it’s a custom gown or a high-street find, expect to spend anywhere from $100 to $300+ depending on the style. (Pro tip: Keep an eye out for dress rentals to cut costs!)
👠 Accessories & Shoes: From matching jewelry to comfy heels, these little extras can add up quickly.
💅 Hair and Makeup: Most bridesmaids opt for professional styling, which can range from $50 to $150+.

Food at a wedding is very important. It should be a top 3 priority when planning your wedding (IMO)! People always remember the food.

Last night's wedding had LOTS of food from to & . Add on even more dessert & I'm certain no one left hungry!

Practice makes perfect. There is so much value in holding a run through of your wedding ceremony.
Make sure to invite the entire wedding party, including flower girls and ring bearers, the parents of the bride & groom and anyone else who might be involved.
Some couples invite the significant others of their groomsmen and bridesmaids.
I'd suggest allowing 30 minutes for the run through, depending on how much still needs to be sorted.

Day in the life of a wedding planner 🌻
The 1st half of the day is mostly organizing & setting up. This easily takes me about 4 hours (See previous posts for a breakdown on those tasks.)

The 2nd half of the day is all about timing & communication. I am the go-between with every vendor, the couple, the wedding party, the parents of the couple, the emcee & more.

Here is an overview of some tasks 📝:
- touch base with all the vendors & wedding party to make sure they are ready to start the ceremony.⌚️
- get all the guests seated
- make sure the rows up front are full & certain family members are where they need to be
- keep track of the wedding party. (Often, someone has to p*e or needs another drink, and they tend to wander off)
- signal DJ & officiant that things are ready to go 🎤
- direct wedding party down the aisle

Once the ceremony starts, I head back to the venue to:
- finish setting up
- turn on any lights/candles 🕯
- put out any last minute items (i.e., wedding cake)
- check in with caterer
- make sure the bar is ready to go 🍸
- set up cocktail food

When the ceremony is done, most couples have photos taken. Once they are done there, I check in to see if they need a drink or some food. At this point, I am checking in with the DJ, the emcee, and any other vendors to make sure everything is good to go for the wedding party entrance & dinner to begin. I am the one to ensure everything is lined up.
