What a great long weekend outside. We went to the Malahat Skywalk when it opened and there was just one other couple there, practically had the place to ourselves. Then went hiking Mt Tzouhalem. So many mushrooms this year, huge! Yesterday spent the afternoon reading books at the Esquimalt Lagoon lounging in the warm fall sunshine. It was 20C!

Outside in nature is My Happy Place.

Forest therapy can be a great way to be inspired by nature. To get the most out of this therapy or better yet mediation, start by finding a peaceful, natural space in nature that you can visit regularly, such as a park or forest.

Take time to explore the area, noticing the sights, sounds, and smells. As you explore, take time to sit or lie down and observe the environment around you. Notice the sunlight, the trees, and the wildlife. As you take in the sights and sounds of nature, allow your thoughts to drift away and your mind to become still.

Allow yourself to connect deeply with the environment around you and to be inspired by the beauty of nature.

These long days of darkness plus the gray, rainy days of the west coast can get you in a funk. Here are some ideas to get inspired and energize yourself:

Go for a walk or run outdoors to get some fresh air and clear your head.

Listen to some upbeat music and dance around to lift your spirits.

OK, we are one month in 2024, how is your GOAL achieving going?

This year I added an extra vision board process. It has been an incredible experience. Love it!

My board is posted in my room and every day I look at it. Reflect, get focused and be intentional towards what I want.

Here are a few goal setting tips to get you started or back on track:

Start with the end in mind. Set a clear and measurable goal to ensure success.

Break down the goal into smaller, achievable tasks. This will help you to stay on track and motivated.

Set a timeline. Give yourself a realistic deadline to stay organized and motivated.

Take action. Identify the steps you need to take to reach your goal and start taking action.

Track your progress. Monitor your progress and adjust tasks as needed.

Celebrate the small victories. Celebrate each milestone along the way to keep yourself motivated.

Stay focused. Don’t let distractions get in the way of your goal.

Make adjustments. Be flexible and adjust your plan as needed.

Seek support. Reach out for help and guidance when needed.

Identify potential obstacles. Anticipate and plan for potential roadblocks.

Review and revise your plan to ensure you’re on track.
