Picking a cover photo for mini days is nearly impossible and while I hate when I have to pick, this year had to go to my new friend Red, the cutie patootie puppy. What an amazing day. Year after year, I am always so blown away by the support from you all. What a fulfilling set of Christmas minis ✨

Introducing “Denna’s Wish Project”

I’ve been trying to find a way to honour my mama, Denna and carry on her legacy this holiday season. This will be my first Christmas without her and as much as I wish this festive season would come and go as quick as it came, I feel a pull to channel my grief into finding joy and carry on her legacy. One of my favourite things about her was her heart.

It was so big, full of love and she was always giving to others without praise, need for recognition and always completely anonymously. Her random acts of kindness was something she did weekly, paying it forward just because she could.

This is where I need the internets help. If you know of someone who is struggling this holiday season, a family, a single parent, someone diagnosed with a challenging illness, an elderly individual or someone who could use some joy. I would love for you to share this post or reach out to me privately to nominate someone or yourself (completely confidential). Please share this post. My hope is that the receiver would be local to the Calgary and surrounding areas.

Denna was a strong light, that will shine forever. And my job now is to carry on that legacy. To bring light, love and hope in an already dark world. And a quote from my favourite book:

“Life is fragile, yet in that fragility, there is strength.
There is love. There is purpose. It reminds us that life is short, that our breaths are numbered and our destiny is fixed, regardless of how hard we fight.
It reminds us not to waste a single second.
Live hard, love harder. Chase dreams, seek adventures. Capture moments. Live beautifully.”

Quite possibly the branding session of my dreams? If you know me, you know. Pottery + colour is the way to my heart. Absolutely loved working with and her beautiful products hand crafted with love. Her mugs have filled my cupboards for a few years now and there’s just something about pottery that makes a cup of coffee taste that much better ☕️

Studio season is here and this is where I’ll be spending most of my time this winter. What a blessing it is to call this little space my own. It’s small and cozy, versatile and so much joy happens within these four walls. This space will transform into our Christmas set up later this week and I’m so excited to make that happen.
