It was a busy November this year. Within 3 days notice, Emily,Nathan and I were able to secure a Marriage Licence and pull off a Legality Ceremony on November 28, 2024 at the HalfMoon Drive Inn, where they had their first date a few years ago. I was thankful they didn’t want a theme wedding where you dress in theme clothes.It was a fun time. Music was great. Love was in the air and their energy level was high,be-bopping to the music prior to the ceremony. Congratulations Emily and Nathan. On November 29th, 2024, I had the pleasure of officiating Bryna and Tyler’s Legality Ceremony. Their family and friends transformed their rec room into a beautiful wedding setting with wonderfully smelling flowers with seating for dinner for at least 14 people. The bride was glowing with happiness in her lovely wedding dress. I especially loved her Cinderella like shoes. They were so cute and she worn them well. I had the pleasure of marrying Allia and Paul at Paul’s parent’s cottage at Twin Beaches, St. Laurent, Manitoba on Sunday, August 4, 2024. They thought of every detail to include securing the archway to the boardwalk to ensure we weren’t set adrift during the ceremony. Congratulations Marya and Darcy! It was my pleasure to offificiate your Wedding Ceremony this afternoon on Treaty 1 territory, the traditional gathering place of the Anishinaabe, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota and Dene people and the heartland of the Métis Nation at Birds Hill park. A perfect day- sunny, brilliant colored leaves and a mild gust of wind. The Blanket Ceremony, which is an acknowledgement of the joining of their families and lives together and honouring their commitment to each other, was the highlight of the ceremony with the honour song on the drums. Congratulations Brittany and Brayden on your wedding at Pineridge Hollow. The ceremony was extra special with Nathan holding his Mom’s bouquet and Nash handing his Dad the wedding rings.
