Casey () • Trombonist - Vocalist - Bandleader 🎶

I was honoured to capture these fun and powerful branding shots of Casey in downtown Vancouver back in August!

From her website: "Casey is the founder and director of 10-woman jazz band 'The Leading Ladies' and has been described by Juno-nominated bassist Jodi Proznick as "the future of arts leadership".

'The Leading Ladies' present a rare blend of modern and classic, showcasing beloved pieces from the big band era alongside modern-day originals. Directed by trombonist Casey, this dynamic and vibrant group of young women first came together to perform a single show in 2019. They've stuck together ever since.

Recently returned from their 2024 '5th Birthday Tour' this band has been named one-to-watch on the Canadian jazz circuit. In addition to public concerts and festival performances, 'The Ladies' host and present a number of educational programs."

Casey and the Leading Ladies play the Pearl in Vancouver on November 10th. Check them out!

Ba*****ed Ladies | | at The Pacific Coliseum for Summer Night Concerts at the PNE on September 1st ✨

Having only been able to shoot and stay for the first 3 songs, I almost feel I got the full Ba*****ed Ladies experience! You can tell how much fun these guys are having together on stage. I wish I could have stayed for the whole show... next time!

Thankyou to my 150 new followers over the past couple weeks! It’s been a year since our sell-out show at Fox Cabaret and almost two years since my last release… I think… who’s counting? Anyways, I’m very excited to release my next single “Love Everyone” this Friday and perform it live at on the 31st and .concerts.events on Sep 1st! Right on!

We just rolled back into town after an epic four-nighter in the interior and AB, including a set at the fabulous Wapiti Music Festival on Saturday and then our 50th show of the year at their volunteer party on Sunday. Met so many awesome people this weekend and had a blast doing our thing.

Now we are headed to The Biltmore Cabaret where we'll supporting the incredible Fantastic Negrito TONIGHT. This man and his band are the real deal. It's going to be a epic Tuesday evening. We hit the stage at 8PM 🤘

A beautiful day with Alee () hanging out at Queen Elizabeth Park. I put the call out to do some portrait work for practice (and for fun) and Alee was kind enough to take some time out of her day to be my model for a couple of hours!

Practice makes progress and I'm really happy with how these turned out for one of my first times posing/directing people 💛 Thanks Alee!

Brass Camel / at Forest Echoes Music Festival

Hidden deep Cultus Lake on Saturday night, the rain held off just long enough for these heinous headliners to put on a rowdy night of musical mayhem!

I can't wait to see where this festival goes in the coming years! The property is absolutely stunning and perfect for a quick getaway weekend of good vibes and good tunes ✨ Congratulations for putting on such a great weekend! Sick lighting and fog on stage by the way!!

I realized I never actually posted this shoot of from last November!

We brought the indoors outdoors at Trout lake in East Van!

A couple of weeks ago, I put the call out on Instagram for portrait shoot models as I have been wanting to dive more into the portrait realm of photography and I have been so lucky with all of the people who reached out!

Even though I shoot people (for concerts) as my main photography gig, I still felt I wasn't confident to shoot people in a controlled environment. It is very different from shooting people on stage! However,I have done a few shoots for friends now and I can feel the confidence growing in posing and directing people and hopefully making them feel comfortable in front of the camera!

I have a few more shoots planned for portraits coming up and then I will be in full editing hermit mode. I can't wait 🥰

Feel free to still reach out to me if you want to work on an idea together! I'm hoping to work on some more weird and abstract portrait photography in the future too. To the Pinterest board we go!

Uncle Strut |

Vancouver showed up for this show, holy moly! It was a bit of a challenge roaming the venue with all of the dancing, bubble machines, beach balls and flashing going on! I also got to experiment for the first time using my prism to capture some cool reflections. It's going to take some finessing using that prism object but it was a lot of fun!

Up next the Hollywood... Brass Camel and Jesse Roper next Friday! Can't wait! 🔥

Shooting my bestie is the best feeling ☀️

Patricia has been making her way into photography recently so we decided to get out together and do some shooting, naturally! We got some business casual headshots for work and for fun with a nice visit from golden hour in New Brighton Park.

I'm slowly falling in love with portrait photography and now that I have a few more shoots lined up with some lovely folks, I cannot wait to capture more moments like these this summer!
