SULLY destroyed and fully delivered, as expected. all djs did, all night. the energy *still* remains tangible from this night.

very pleased with how this year’s LIGHTA! SOUND jam went down. i got some of the most beautiful and meaningful (and very specific) personal feedback that night and from that night. deeply thankful for that. ..and the joy in the room. the smiles. the sense of family. all night long. so many people working thru things and the context meeting them in a perfect way for that. so many people using the word *medicine*. potency in the air for sure.
grateful to have raised $700 for Anera, thru my fee and profits from me selling some t-shirts. some people even kindly threw in extra. i feel should also name SICARIA who put me on to this organization thru her newsletter. this is a well vetted and well established organization doing work for the people in gaza right now. ..i feel to also name, this is an incredibly small gesture next to sustained and brave efforts by so many others. ..

a little re-cap and note to say thanks to LOBE and all their staff for hosting my first Souns expressions in the world of 4DSOUND. thank you to everyone who came out and made it a nice little sold out show (this honestly meant a lot to me).
thanks to Pendamental (who did live audio diffusion) for a beautiful and very flowing first experience in collaborating, and being down to flow in the way i hoped for - with very little pre-chat, and no meet-ups or practice, so we can capture a more pure essence of our creative combination, from it’s very beginning (before over-thinking and second-guessing can happen).
it was all recorded, and will be put into the library, making it play-able in other 4D contexts around the world. 🔮
and there definitely be more and more of this kind of thing happening in the future as well. 🌿

looove doing this kind of set, on special occasions, when the mood is right. explicit and “romantic” lyrics thru out. ..definitely guided by the room and what was most needed for this one. i was prepped to play more full-on slow and rnb moody, but felt in-the-moment it had be more straight up and dancey mostly, still dip down at points but then dip back up, and also get a bit hypnotic eyes down at one point too.
i won’t soon forget that ending (in the vid). incredible to share energy with people who feel that Kelela track as much as i do. opening. flowering.
