DJ DeadHead

The Vancouver and Miami goth & fe**sh scenes lost a talented DJ and a genuine, caring and affectionate person last night.

I was lucky enough to give him a hug once I finished my set and was leaving the club.

Last night we lost our dear friend and fellow DJ & performer Santi AKA DJ DJ DeadHead. After delivering back to back absolutely killer sets at our DarkRave and Sin City Fe**sh Halloween events, he unexpectedly passed away late Saturday night, just hours after we were all hanging out together. We didn't know it at the time, and he didn't either, but this set was also him saying goodbye to all of us. A huge memory from this night will always be him cutting the music and shouting "I FU***NG LOVE YOU GUYS!" at the crowd, and getting a massive cheer back.

I first met Santi as an attendee of Florida Fe**sh Weekend, where he was originally based and held a long running DJ residency, and we immediately became fast friends, which is absolutely common with most people who got to know him. A huge and outgoing personality, Santi was as real and genuine as it gets, and always made fast and deep connections with people. After relocating to Vancouver, we connected further and he quickly became an integral and well-loved member of our Restricted Entertainment family of performers, our friends circle in general, and he is going to be deeply missed by many, leaving us far too soon and far too young.

Our hearts go out to his family and friends from Florida, Vancouver, and all around the world.
