(Vancouver, B.C.) – Nation Extreme Wrestling is set to provide its fans with more ‘access’ than ever before with the support of TELUS Community Content and allowing the program to be available across Western Canada on TELUS Optik TV®.
“We started Nation Extreme Wrestling with the vision of creating a platform for some of the best independent wrestlers in Canada to showcase their talents,” said Rob Fai, President, Nation Extreme Wrestling. “This process wasn’t rushed, it was deliberate, and TELUS Community Content shared many of our community values and broadcast standards. We couldn’t be prouder to open this NEW chapter in our business with such a trusted partner.”
TELUS Optik TV® will begin its new programming in December 2022 with the program, NEW All-Access, a weekly 60-minute magazine show featuring full-length matches, highlights, in-depth interviews, and stories from within our community. The Optik TV® platform has over 1 million subscribers, with channels having up to 500 thousand visitors per month.
“We are incredibly proud of the fact that we can showcase wrestlers from across the province and truly give them a chance to be seen in homes throughout Western Canada and beyond. The work for us starts now and we hope our fans will begin to build a relationship with our wrestlers and help us grow into something special,” adds Fai.
All-Access will use its first three shows (which will debut in December) to share Nation Extreme Wrestling’s journey from independent wrestling start-up, navigating its humble beginnings amidst a global pandemic to becoming one of Canada’s most intriguing promotions thanks to a collection of local wrestlers all committed to growing the future of wrestling in British Columbia and beyond.
