Thank you to everyone who came out to try Modern Square Dancing at our First Friday Modern Square Dance Party (Surrey/Delta) dance on Jan 3. We had a great group and a fun time. I’m not available in February so our next dance will be held on Friday, March 7.

First Friday Modern Square Dance Party (Surrey/Delta) is this Friday, Jan 3

Happy New Year Everybody,

Are you ready to get active again, move to great music, and have fun meeting new people while dancing together in teams of eight?

Then join us this Friday, January 3, 2025, at the First Friday Modern Square Dance Party. The dance will be at Kennedy Hall - 8870 - 120 St., Surrey, BC, from 7 – 9pm. Doors open at 6:30pm and dancing starts at 7pm sharp.

Invite your friends and neighbours to try Modern Square Dancing and start the New Year with an activity that’s fun, and good for you.

No dance experience is needed, and everyone is welcome, including couples, singles, and families (suggested for ages 10 and up).

I use different music, dances, and a few different moves each time to provide variety for returning dancers.

No special clothes are needed but comfortable shoes with non-marking soles are suggested.

I’m not available on the first Friday in February so after Jan 3, the next dance will be Friday, March 7, 2025.

Share this and invite your friends and acquaintances to join you on Friday as “the more, merrier”.

I'm really enjoying co-teaching this new dancer class for the Surrey Square Wheelers club. They are a fun, enthusiastic, and diverse group of folks who are enjoying dancing, learning & laughing together each week. This week we enjoyed a dance with Hawaiian-themed music, decorations & snacks. This group will open another new dancer class in Sept 2025.

Looking forward to being back at the Rainbow Squares Mainstream Square Dance Club this Saturday night, November 9. Come and join us.

Join us this Saturday at the Ten Mile Grange in Lynden for a fun evening of Mainstream dancing to Classic Country music with Brent Calling and Cueing. The experienced clothing shop will be open and we are collecting new unwrapped toys for the Toys for Tots organization. We hope to see you there!
