Headlined by Vancouver power duo Lightning Dust , Synth-duo, Sur Une Plage and Magneticring , Holzkopf , Scant Intone , Psychic Pollution, Chariot Containing Life, and Wire Spine
And Then came #2.
Headlined by “Inzane” Johnny Olson and Nate Young’s, seminal elite squad ,Wolf Eyes; those zany “zoners”, hailing outta Instagram-Land, by way of Detroit, wowed the crowd, properly at Hexistential’s Metro Vancouver edition , at Red Gate R***e Stage on Granville Island, in August of 2018. Majeure , one half of Relapse Record’s, Italo-Grosso outfit , Zombi. Tony Pattera plays the drums, but he played the synthesizer and drum machine at the festival last year, preferring to let his drums take a break at home. Last but certainly not least of the three headlining acts, was Nadja, originally from Canada, by way of Berlin , GDR, were flown over the pond to perform the loudest , and friendliest, ambient-doom duet the world has ever seen, and was a beautiful cap to a trio of collective auditory wizards, and left serious positivity on the skulls and minds of the Hex faithful. The three headliners were assisted by a dozen or so acts from the lower mainland and Vancouver Island. Devours, Holzkopf, Thelema Banana , Scant Intone ,
Chariot Containing Life , Kellarissa , Sh*tlord F**kerman , Psychic Pollution , Psychadelic Attack , Midden , I.O , Body Break , Chris Tait , V Vekker , & The Nausea rounded out the lineup.
