Founded in the fall of 2011, Coastal City Ballet is a repertory ballet company, based in the beautiful city of Vancouver, BC Canada, that provides performance opportunities for emerging dancers, both Canadian and international. aily schedule similar to that of a professional ballet company with daily class, rehearsals and scheduled performances. Coastal City Ballet is dedicated to providing dance to the Greater Vancouver area and throughout British Columbia, as well as the possibility of both Canadian and international tours. Since its inaugural season, Coastal City Ballet has successfully presented ten productions to audiences in greater Vancouver and Regina, Saskatchewan. Productions performed include Coastal City Ballet’s first original story ballet “Hansel and Gretel” (2012), “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” (2013), “Coppelia” (2014), "Cinderella" (2015), and "Swan Lake" (2016), the staging of classical excerpts such as "Paquita" (2011), "Swan Lake Act II" (2012), "Les Sylphides" (2013), and "Don Quixote's Dream" (2014), as well as commissioned world premieres by Wen Wei Wang, Joshua Beamish, Erica Trivett, Farley Johansson and Artistic Director, Li Yaming, among others.
