You may wonder… “How many hours of photo coverage do we need on the wedding day?” Typically, photo coverage for a full wedding day can range from 6 to 11 hours, depending on what’s involved. You may ask, “Why such a big range?” There are many factors that determine the photo coverage as well as the cost. One of our specialties is to help our couples plan their schedule flawlessly so that they are able to determine how much time they need for photography or videography.

Also, don’t forget to plan enough time for portrait photos. We absolutely love these photos of A&D! ❤️

“It has been so wonderful working with Crystal. We hired Crystal as our month-of coordinator back in 2019 for our original 2020 date. Later that same year, the pandemic happened. We postponed our wedding to 2021, and then we later again to 2022. Crystal was so accommodating and flexible when that happened. We were finally able to have the wedding of our dreams in 2022 with her help. She is so organized and goes above and beyond to walk through the process and go over all the details with you. There were even a couple things that happened at the wedding that I didn’t know about until afterwards, because she took care of it right away. Crystal knew what vision I was going for, and she made sure to confirm with the vendors that it was going to be exactly like what I wanted. She has so much experience and gave us a lot of great tips and suggestions for our wedding. She explained the ceremony plan in detail during the rehearsal, so our wedding party knew exactly what to expect. I don’t know what I would’ve done without her help leading up to the wedding. My husband and I strongly recommend Crystal!! You will absolutely not regret it!”

First look or no first look? And what is first look?

First look is when the bride and the groom see each other in their wedding attire for the first time before the ceremony. In the past, the couple would not see each other before the ceremony. Overtime, some of the traditions have evolved, and many couples have chosen to have first look before the ceremony. It is an intimate and sweet moment between the bride and the groom. Having a first look before the ceremony also calms the nerves when it’s time to walk down the aisle.

What’s your reception activities like?

Wedding day is busy for the couple the moment they wake up. From getting ready, performing tea ceremony, sharing vows at the ceremony, to dinner reception. It’s a long day! We always encourage having a few fun activities during reception that involve the wedding guests. For one, we always try to schedule table toasts for the couple to visit each table and greet their guests. It’s a great time to connect with the guests in a bit more relaxed setting, it’s also a fun photo opportunity!

Hello everyone! Today we celebrate 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻’𝘀 𝗗𝗮𝘆 and thought I’d take this opportunity to reintroduce myself.

My name is Crystal Chiang. I am the owner, principal planner, and designer at Luxe Weddings. I started my event planning journey in 2003, working at a tech company as their brand manager. In the short four years that followed, I planned and managed numerous local shows as well as large, multi-day domestic and international trade shows. From the beginning, I developed my love for events. Fast forward to 2017, while I was still working full time, I became a certified wedding planner through the WPIC. In 2019, I decided to leave my office job to focus solely on wedding planning. It ended up being one of the busiest years for us. We were also finalists for the WPIC Wedding Awards for “𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗪𝗲𝗱𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗨𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 $𝟱𝟬,𝟬𝟬𝟬”.

This year, we are finalists in the same category again, and I am extremely grateful for the WPIC and the judges for recognizing our work!

I am truly honoured to have so many couples’ trust in planning their most important day, and I am also so appreciative for all the support we get from our industry friends. I am always looking forward to our next collaborations in creating something amazing for our couples! 💕

Some fun facts which you might not know about me:

📽️ I received my Hons degree in short film editing in the UK

🖌️ I competed in Chinese calligraphy when I was young

💰 I managed million dollar advertising budget

👩🏻‍💻 I was a SEO and PPC specialist

💃🏻 I modeled in my 20s and competed in singing competitions (including the first Canadian Idol 🎤)

I designed this cake for our little prince 👶🏼👑, as well as incorporating a few elements from the overall design and a couple of his favorite plushies (👉🏻 swipe to see my original drawing). The blue bear we call it Bedtime Bear which watches over him at night. The little felt bunny was in the gift box from oldjoygiftboxes made by Mimi and Moo. We call it Mr. Bunn, it was our kid’s best pal.

Having a small gathering sometimes requires more creative thinking 🤔. Ferrero Rocher was absolutely perfect for our cupcake tower! We also made little purple dots on the cupcakes to let our guests know the different flavours. These ube macapuno cupcakes were to die for! 😘👌🏻
