Enjoy an exhilarating night with Hustle at RS Dance Society, who are holding a FREE Hustle class at this week's Dance Dance Dance!
Latin Hustle, an energetic partner dance characterized by its fast footwork, turns, and spins, burst out of the New York dance scene in the 1970s. After the hype around this dance style quieted down only a few decades after it took over the New York dance scene, today, Hustle begins to grow in popularity worldwide.
Starting as a small group of street dancers in 2013, Hustle at RS is a local organization that was pivotal in turning the Vancouver hustle scene as one of the best hustle scenes worldwide. With "a spirit of inclusivity, a strong focus on connection, and free open classes on Tuesday nights," Hustle at RS continues to foster and grow a strong hustle community in Vancouver today.
Bring your dance shoes to a FREE Hustle class hosted by Hustle at RS, followed by social dancing, this Friday, August 9, at 6:30 PM at šxʷƛ̓exən Xwtl'a7shn (650 Hamilton Street).

FREE Visual Arts Open House: May 1 at 5pm 🎨 We can’t wait to welcome you into the QET lobbies to explore our current visual arts exhibition in just a few short days! Don’t miss your chance to experience the captivating work of local artists Sharai Mustatia and Biliana Velkova.
📷 Sharai Mustatia’s KEEP GOING is an exploration of survival as a Métis mother who was coerced into giving their two children up for adoption. Through collage, analogue photography and in-camera editing, the artist creates images filled with layers of meaning and emotion, and tells one person’s journey of transformational healing.
🦚 Biliana Velkova’s The Language of Beasts is a suite of paintings that elicits lucid dream states and conjures infinite transformation. As observers, we are invited to decipher if the artist is presenting these beasts as harbingers of our demise, or as a subversive reminder that we are all bound to each other, and the planet.
