Our world-class theatres and performance spaces are home to a variety of major arts and entertainment productions, including concerts, theatre, opera, classical music, Broadway shows, and lectures. You can also rent our theatres and performance spaces for your event. All of our venues are accessible and conveniently located in downtown Vancouver. VCT's Halloween Silent Movie Mondays experience also includes a photo booth, a live pre-show jazz performance, and a riveting post-show talk about the film. And all for only $15.50! 👻 In 1920, The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari catapulted the German Expressionist movement into film history. Considered the "first true horror film" by Roger Ebert, it continues to be a cult classic beloved by film buffs everywhere. The visionary film was a surrealist plunge into the mind of a madman with a never-before-seen visual style. Director Robert Wiene and a team of designers crafted a nightmare realm full of bizarre jagged landscapes, sharp angles, tilted walls, and diagonal staircases.
