Our hearts break with the Asian community and we want to send our love and kindness to everyone impacted by these attacks. You shouldn’t be attacked because someone didn’t like the way you supposedly looked at them or because of the colour of your skin. There is no place in this world for hate, bigotry, and xenophobia. To the Asian community, we want you to know: We hear you. We see you. You are not invisible.

Mannie in our head office wanted to share her personal thoughts and experience on these attacks.

“As an Asian-Canadian, these growing attacks have deeply affected me. I’ve dealt with my fair share of hate just because of the colour of my skin. From microaggressions to verbal attacks, all while in Canada. Lately, all I can think about when I hear of another attack is what if next time it’s me or someone in my family or one of my friends. To constantly have that running through your head, it’s not okay but that’s been the reality for most of us for the past year. We can't ignore the hate but we can change how we deal with it. In times like these, we all need to stand together and lift each other up”
