Inspiring master class with Benjamin Lulich (Principal Clarinetist Seattle Symphony). Benjamin will be visiting us three more times during this school year as our principal guest artist. Special thanks to Backun Musical Services for sponsoring this visits!
Also during today’s masterclass we were honoured to have the clarinet studio of Western Washington University and their profesor visiting us, followed by an amazing UBC Symphony Orchestra concert at the Chan Centre with Jonathan Girard!

The UBC Clarinet Studio is honoured to announce that Benjamin Lulich (Principal Clarinetist Seattle Symphony) will be our Principal Guest Teacher. Benjamin will visit us four times during this school year, where he will be working on orchestral excerpts. His first visit will take place this coming Friday, October 11th from 3 pm-5 pm at the UBC School of Music, Gessler Hall. This event will be open to the public. The UBC Clarinet Studio would like to share the appointment of Michelle Anderson as a new Sessional Clarinet Instructor who will work along side with Prof. Jose Franch-Ballester.
Michelle comes to UBC with extensive professional clarinet performing experience in Vancouver and across Canada. She is the Founder of Clarinet Mentors, the largest online educational clarinet provider in the world. She is thrilled to be joining the team of educators at the UBC School of Music.
