CHERRY BOMB TOYS VENDING AT THE SHOW!

Cherry Bomb Toys will be back in the house at the Vancouver Comic & Toy Show this April! You can find them in their usual spot - sharing a booth right up front with Ages Three & Up!

They have been selling toys with memories included for almost 20 years!

Next time you visit the island, check out their NEW location at 719 Yates St, in the heart of downtown Victoria.

They are also the hosts of various events including the Ultimate Hobby & Toy Fair, at Pearkes Rec Centre, in Victoria. Next one is coming up on May 24th & 25th, 2025.

"PEEJAY CATACUTAN" ANNOUNCED FOR APRIL SHOW!

Peejay Catacutan is a Filipino comic book creator and illustrator based in Canada. He has created artwork for Street Fighter, Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Transformers, G.I.Joe, among others. His covers and comic work have been published by IDW, Image Comics, and Heavy Metal Magazine, and he has created trading card illustrations for Capcom and Upper Deck’s new line of DC Comics series of cards.

"RON LAMARRE" ANNOUNCED FOR APRIL SHOW!

Ron Lamarre has been a professional animator since 1984 and is classically trained, which means he uses a pencil a lot. He is also quite proficient in the latest high end animation software, including Toon Boom Harmony.

Ron has worked at Hanna Barbera, Warner Bros, and many, many more studios - on all time classics such as G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero ( 1983 ) Jem ( 1985 ) My Little Pony Movie ( 1985 ) Castle In the Sky ( 1986 ) Transformers: The Movie ( 1986 ) The Care Bears Adventure in Wonderland ( 1987 ) TMNT original version ( 1987 ) C.O.P.S. ( 1988 ) Arthur ( 1996-97 ) Caillou ( 1997-2006 ) Heavy Metal 2000 ( 2000 ) Astro Boy ( 2003 ) and many, many more…

He has lived in New York, LA and Miami and has since settled in Edmonton, Alberta.

FOOD TRUCKS FEATURED AT THE SHOW!

REEL MAC AND CHEESE:

REEL Mac and cheese offers gourmet, made fresh on the truck macaroni and cheese with seven cheeses, and a variety of movie themed menu items.

While macaroni and cheese itself is slightly retro they have given it a modern twist with menu offerings such as Slumdog Millionaire that includes curry paste and peas and The Green Mile that is topped with freshly cooked broccoli florets and crispy onions.

They serve up inspired comfort food made from scratch right on the truck. They start with real butter, add whole milk, select spices and seven different cheeses, the result is creamy deliciousness.

If you would like to donate $ to this very important charity, they will be located in the Front Lobby & also at the Star Wars photo booth!

PLEASE NOTE: The Greater Vancouver Food Bank does not accept Food Donations anymore due to Unhealthy Food Donations (non-nutritive food donated a lot of the time) / Better Buying Power ($$ go 2:1 further) & Labour Intensive Logistics (30% of food received is spoiled.)

"RICHARD COMELY" ANNOUNCED FOR APRIL SHOW! (SATURDAY ONLY)

Richard Comely worked as a sign painter, crest, embroidery and clothing designer, portrait artist and graphic designer before producing and publishing Captain Canuck from Winnipeg in 1975 and Star Rider and The Peace Machine from Calgary in 1981.

Richard has taught drawing since 1989. He has written and illustrated for magazines and newspapers in Canada and The U.S. He wrote and illustrated three newspaper strips (Wabbits, Trumpet, Captain Canuck) as well as children’s books, for advertising, greeting cards and storyboards. He helped create a one-year post-graduate course in comic book scripting and illustration for Mohawk College. His Drawing from the Pros video was a best seller in the North American educational market. He was inducted into the Joe Kubert Hall of Fame in 2010.

He is working with Fadi Hakim and others on Captain Canuck 50th anniversary projects for print and the screen. Richard and his wife Evelyn, married since 1975, have 8 children and 10 grandchildren.

"Steven Scott" ANNOUNCED FOR APRIL SHOW!

Steven Scott is an award-winning author of nonfiction and fiction graphic novels. In addition to co-authoring the New York Times Bestselling They Called Us Enemy graphic memoir with George Takei, as well as the upcoming It Rhymes With Takei, he co-created the Sixth-Grade Shape-Shifter series and helped launch The Magic History Books series, both from Capstone. He has written for Andrews McMeel, Top Shelf, Archie Comics, and also writes and illustrates the graphic memoir G'Day Yank. The west coast of Canada is where he calls home with his two kids and two cats.

Kev’s Diecast is once again back at the Vancouver comic and show! Based out of Abbotsford, Kev’s Diecast Collectibles is one of the favourite suppliers for both new and vintage diecast to customers across North America.

They will have three tables full of all your favourite diecast, including lots of pop culture themed items and tons of great deals as usual.

CGC COLLECTIBLES GRADING + JSA SIGNATURE AUTHENTICATION

CGC is excited to be accepting comics and video games, as well as sports cards and TCGs at the April 5 & 6 VCTS - through their official submission center Grosnor Distribution Inc.

In addition - attendees can now submit previously signed comics & cards to be submitted for Signature Authentication by JSA!

CGC will also be authenticating signatures done by the scheduled Guests at the April 5 & 6 Show.
