Born in Madrid, he began his career performing in that city's famous tablaos, including Corral de la Moreria, Villa Rosa and Molino Rojo.

hello everyone,just letting you all know that its that time of year again.my father will be turning 78yrs of age and am holding his birthday party at KINO CAFE on cambie st in vancouver.this yr it will be held on saturday september 4th because of his schedual.he will be singing that night and for those that were there last yr it does get very full so dont forget to reserve your table.

Jose Luis Lara - Kino Cafe in Vancouver, Saturday March 30, 2009. The one and only Jose Lara has been singing flamenco in Vancouver for over 20 years in various venues and is, without a doubt, one of the most charismatic faces of flamenco in Vancouver. Kino cafe could not be the same without him and his fun, charismatic, supportive, and kind personality is one of the main reasons Kino is packed Saturday nights. Everytime, and I mean "everytime", he is on that stage singing, he gives 110% of himself to the people and as a result, joy fills the air. He is truly the heart and soul of Kino Cafe. Long Live Jose!
