Elle Lumbao is an 18-year-old singer with a passion for jazz and RnB. Beginning her musical journey on the piano at the age of 7, she competed within the Ontario Conservatory of Music, winning numerous trophies along the way. Recently, Elle has worked with the Toronto All-Star Big Band, performing at renowned events such as the Beaches Jazz Festival in downtown Toronto, the Festival of Sound in Parry Sound, the Twilight Concert in Etobicoke, and Concerts in the Park in Bowmanville, among many others. As a pioneer of the tradition in Canada, and supported through its association with the Royal Conservatory, A Fantástica Bateria is widely recognized as one of the most important cultural links between Canada and Brazil. Dedicated to the performance of one of Brazil’s most creative art forms, they also produce and perform their own works, and are the subject of Avi Lev’s documentary film, We Are Samba.
