We’re hosting several workshops on the farm this summer! The first ones are coming up quick. All workshops are on Sunday evenings and cover a range of different floral styles using fresh flowers from the farm. We’ve also got two workshops happening which we’re pretty excited about! Local wine and flowers? Yes please.

Wedding season is coming up quick and we’re so excited to be creating beauty for couples this season with our seasonal farm grown blooms.

~ ANNUAL DAHLIA TUBER SALE ~
Hello! Our dahlia shop is now open and stocked with this year’s selection of dahlias tubers and a few of our favourite perennials, all lovingly grown on the farm.
Dahlias make great additions to the garden, provide multiple strong stems for maximum impact bouquets, are the cutest bees for sleepy bees in the evening and I’m pretty sure frogs love them as much as I do!

Yesterday was the yearly hydrangea prune! This daunting task is made so much easier and laugh filled when I’m joined by my wonderful friends and coworkers , & Kat! Swipe through to the end to see the billowy clouds of blooms that make this yearly prune so worth it!

We had an amazing season here at Flowerface! Which of course was not without its Ups, several gorgeous new-to-us varieties, and Downs, hello May heatwave. We also moved the farm last year which made this our second first year on new land. But all in all it was wonderful for many reasons, great new land and land owners, designing for several weddings and taking part in business mentorship program. Which is all to say that after a much needed rest over the holidays, planning is in full swing for this season’s gorgeous new crops, weddings and workshops.
Last August came and photographed the farm and I feel so lucky to have these photos as a wonderful snapshot in time because the farm has already transformed so much since then!
So here’s to 2024 I can’t wait to share this beauty with you!

Dahlias bouquets went out the door this morning for our fundraiser for Northwest Territories wildfire relief via . Thanks so much to everyone that donated!
Farming isn’t known to be an incredibly lucrative business, but we’re certainly rich in flowers and I feel lucky to be able to convert some of those riches into a bit of help for folks on the front lines of the climate crisis right now.

This Sunday Flowerface will be putting together 16 dahlia bouquets with 100% of the proceeds going to to assist evacuees facing the Northwest Territories wildfires.
We’re hoping to contribute $500 total, so bouquets will be $32.50 each which accounts for the $20 administrative fee incurred by .
It’s hard to not feel like the world is burning around us right now, so we’re hoping to share a bit of beauty for a good cause.
Bouquets are available for pick-up only, from either the farm in Saanichton or Flowerface HQ in Strawberry Vale on Sunday August 27th.

Last week was the final week of our July floral subscription! Dahlias are picking up steam and the bouquets reminded me of the jolly ranchers I loved in high school.

Wedding season is in full swing, and it started back in early May with this lovely wedding at Hatley Castle. Sarah and Paul were committed to using fresh, local flowers for their big day, and embraced some rich colours alongside soft pinks and white. Flowerface created the bridal bouquet, wearables and table arrangements and the couple paired it with our bulk buckets to create their own bridesmaids bouquets. It all came together beautifully! Congratulations Sarah & Paul!
