With a lot of help from some amazing partners in Victoria, BC
First, the Inn at Laurel Point (@innatlaurelpoint )- the location, the service, the food - just incredible! I’ve been to a lot of hotels and event venues in my 25+ years doing events, and this property has surpassed my expectations! Every touch-point from contracting the space, to housekeeping was refreshingly easy, gracious, kind, over and above the bare minimum, and how hospitality should be done!
Highly recommend!
Sandy and her team at @decoratevictoria also emulated the same service and attention to detail. She understood my vision, being near the ocean, I wanted to bring a little of it inside the ballroom for our closing dinner. She made it happen with driftwood, glass bowls with shells and succulents that ‘bubbled’ up to the ceiling. And some lighting to complete the watery feel.
We also had the honour of witnessing the Lekwungen Traditional Dancers share their stories, voices and art with us.
Thank you to my client, for entrusting me with this event for the past 7 years. Can’t wait to do it again next October in Newfoundland!

WTC retailers were invited to bee our guest to mingle, enjoy delicious treats, strike a post at our photo wall and meet the bees who live on our roof, and each guest left with a jar of honey. 🍯
