This wedding from a few weeks ago is what intimate wedding dreams were made of. A total of 24 guests, a lovely backyard ceremony on the ocean. So many beautiful and cozy spaces to sit and visit. Tasty cocktails, the most gorgeous and lush florals and a delicious 4 course dinner with wine pairing.

I honestly don’t have the right words to describe how much I loved this wedding. The florals… omgosh the florals! The yellow bridesmaid dresses and candles, all the signage… it was all perfect. Simple, delicate, and beautiful. Oh and the little cow.. 💛

Happiness is opening your email to find that the bride sent you some amazing decor pics from their recent wedding.

It was an absolute pleasure working with this couple. I always ask my couples this question when we first meet. “ you walk into the room, it’s all set up, candles are lit, and no one is there yet, how does it look, and how does it feel”?

Their answer: hollywood glam, clean and cohesive, not cluttered, intimate feeling, posh family dinner

Puppets that look like the bride and groom, a bouncy castle for adults, cat pillows that are made from photos of their cats, and karaoke.. when you put those things together along with the kindest humans you’ll ever meet, it makes for a VERY fun day! Today was a big day for me filled with many emotions. After almost 14 years, I worked my last official shift at the Duncan family practice. Even though I knew this day was coming for almost a year, it was still a tough one. I love each of my coworkers with all my heart and I’m going to miss seeing them on a regular basis. We’ve been through many things over the years both personal and professional, and through it all, remained a team and supported each other. I’m so grateful for them and all the experiences they brought me.

Throughout my time at the clinic, I’ve also been working and building my event planning business. When I think back to where I started and how far I’ve come, I feel an immense sense of pride and gratitude. Thank you to my friends, family, friendors, and clients who supported me, mentored me, and cheered me on through this crazy adventure. Huge thank you to my team! I could not do this without each of you. I’m happy to say that I am now officially a full time self employed wedding and event planner.

So here I am.. feeling excited, a little bit sad, and a whole lot proud. Love you all ❤️

Yesterday was the most wonderful day. It was full of countless heartfelt moments. My cheeks hurt from smiling so much 🤍

There was one part during the ceremony that I was smiling and wiping tears from my eyes and said to Crystal “ We really do have the best job”. And I meant it. We get to be there on someone’s best day, and I like to think that what we do helps make that day a little bit brighter for everyone.

I’m so very grateful to be able to do what I love. Thank you 🩷

It could not have been possible without all these vendors. Thank you for bringing your expertise and making my job so easy. Xo

Yesterday was the BEST day! We attended the with and it was nothing short of magical. We had such a great time meeting so many lovely couples and connecting with some vendors who we haven’t seen in what seems like forever. We even got a few visits with some of our current couples.

Thank you to everyone who came and for for hosting.

And an extra big thank you to Steve for working ridiculously hard to build me this beautiful bar. It was definitely a labour of love.

This beauty has been added to our rental inventory for our couples and we can’t wait to see her in action ❤️❤️

Exciting News!! We're hiring multiple Event Assistants for our 2024 season! This is a part-time seasonal position that will run from June to mid October.

If you like to have fun, make pretty things, and be there on someone's best day, this might be for you!

What we would love to see:

Someone who loves to have fun

Can work in a fast paced environment (sometimes things move really quickly)

Not afraid of some hard work (bonus if you can carry more than 4 chairs at a time)

Have excellent customer service and communication skills

Be available most to all weekends this season. (Don't worry, we won't make you work every weekend)

Be available for late night and early morning shifts

Have access to a car

Previous event experience is always nice, but honestly, a great attitude and work ethic goes a heck of a long way!

We can’t thank you enough for all of your hard work and dedication to putting our amazing day together. Your team really took all the stress off of us and our parents and we can’t thank you enough for that. Your team is truly amazing. From the set up (which was amazing and brought our vision together better than imagined!) to the ceremony (wrangling cows was funny and appreciated), to taking our flower girl to see the pigs and Koko! All the way to packing up all our goodies and setting our cards and such upstairs in a safe spot. Thank you for tidying up the loft! We truly can't thank you enough for making our day so special.
