🎃 A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out to the Vulcan Pumpkin Walk! 🎃

We’re truly grateful to everyone who put their creativity into carving pumpkins, decorated sites, volunteered, and helped bring our community together to celebrate Halloween in such a spooktacular way! Your hard work, spirit, and generosity made this event a fantastic success. We could not do it without the community and local businesses support! 🕸️🧡

From all the spooky displays to the warm community spirit, it was a night to remember. Thank you for all the support and donations that made it possible. We truly had a spooktacular good time! 👻

Majority of the funds went to our awesome fireworks show! Thank you Tom Grant, lorae Tompkins and Darcy Mcdonell! We were all WOWED!

ONE MORE SLEEP!! I hope everyone is getting excited, I know we are! Just wanted to send a quick reminder for anyone setting up tomorrow. The gates will be open starting at 11. So, feel free to come and set up your sites any time after that. We ask that everyone please be done, and trucks be out of the grounds by 4, parked outside the gates. Some kids may show up before 4:30 and we want to ensure everyone is ready! Dress warm, bring a fire pit if you wish and lets get ready for a fun filled evening!! See ya'll tomorrow!!

🎃🚚 Pumpkin Delivery Day!

A huge thank you to Market Street Vulcan for their generous donation of pumpkins! Today, we had the pleasure of picking up and delivering these pumpkins to Vulcan Prairieview Elementary School, County Central High School,llong-term care and Peter Dawson Lodge .These pumpkins are going to be transformed into spooky and creative masterpieces for the Pumpkin Walk! 🧑‍🎨👻

We can’t wait to see everyone’s creations and are excited to bring the community together for this fun event. Stay tuned for more pumpkin-filled fun!

🎃 2nd Annual Vulcan Pumpkin Walk🎃

Hi everyone!

We are Tracy Broere and Kelcie Walkom from ConnectFirst Credit Union, and we are thrilled to be the ones organizing this year’s Vulcan Pumpkin Walk! We’ll be onsite at Site 1 on October 31st at the Virginia Mitchell Campground to help answer any questions you may have and to help direct people.

On Halloween day, we’ll be busy running around the campground, collecting and dropping off pumpkins, and setting everything up. We ask that anyone participating in the Pumpkin Walk head straight to their assigned sites to set up throughout the day. Please ensure your site is set up by 4:20 PM, as the gates will be closed at this time and will reopen after the fireworks. Be prepared to stay until then to keep our little ghouls and goblins safe from cars driving around in the dark.

A couple of tips:

• Dress warm! It gets chilly once the sun sets.
• Feel free to bring your own fire pits if you’d like since the ones at the campground are set a bit further back.
• It also gets dark. We encourage you to get creative with lights at your sites—there’s power available! For those doing the Trunk or Treat, there’s no power in that area, but you’re welcome to bring a generator or use battery operated or solar lights.

Please note that the campground bathrooms will be closed. However, there’s a small outhouse located just past the campground bathrooms, near the ball diamonds parking lot for anyone needing facilities.

We are always looking for donations of Halloween decorations, extension cords, lights (plug-in, battery-operated, or solar), and spotlights to help make the event even spookier and more fun for everyone!

A big shoutout to all the kids wanting to help with the Pumpkin Walk—thank you! You’re welcome to make posters to promote the event and hang them around town or at school (just check with your teachers first).

And finally, we need pumpkins! We invite everyone in the community to drop off their carved pumpkins at the campground anytime on October 31st. One of our favorite parts is walking around and spotting the pumpkins carved by our kids and neighbours—everyone works so hard, and we love picking out our favorites!

Only 11 days until Halloween! We can’t wait to see everyone there and enjoy a night full of spooky fun!

🎃✨ Join Us at the Vulcan Pumpkin Walk! ✨🎃

Get ready for an unforgettable night of Halloween fun! The Vulcan Pumpkin Walk is a FREE community event happening on October 31, from 4:30 PM to 8:00 PM, with a fireworks show at 8:00 PM to end the night with a bang!

Here’s what to expect:
🌟 Pumpkin Display: Stroll through Virginia Mitchell Campground and see all the incredible carved pumpkins from the community lighting up the path.
👻 Decorated Campsites & Candy: Businesses will be set up in each campsite with Halloween decorations, handing out candy and treats for everyone!
🍫 Snacks: Warm up with hot chocolate and hotdogs (while supplies last)! Provided by Meals in Minutes VC Ltd. As well as a Traeger treat from CD Plumbing and Heating
🌾 Hay Maze: Get lost in our fun hay maze! Created by the Vulcan Kinsman.
🚗 NEW THIS YEAR: We’re excited to welcome a group of Trunk-or-Treaters!

Put on your best costume, bring the family, and come enjoy a night of festive fun! Can’t wait to see everyone’s costumes and the creativity in each decorated site!

If you live out of town and rarely get trick or treaters, but all you want to do is hand out candy; well, do we have a solution for you! How about a delightful Trunk or Treat during the Pumpkin Walk?
If you are interested in decorating your trunk and handing out candy on Halloween night from 4:30-8:00pm, let us know! This is the perfect opportunity to see all the big and little trick or treaters from the comfort of your vehicle! What a fun way to connect with the community and enjoy the festive spirit.
