Hey HRM foodservice peeps
Looking for a catering helper tomorrow (Sunday) from noon to 6 in the HRM for a corporate gig.
Unloading, set up, passing hors d’oeuvres and vino etc, tear down and clean up. About 50-60ppl.

OK folks, it's that time of year!
Next year we mark 20 YEARS as a registered biz in NS! Starting off in consulting and moving more into the catering and events end of hospitality.

We are looking for vatering testimonials, vatering photos and such to celebrate our milestone. From every entry we will cast a ballot in your name and draw on January 2nd for the following:

1st Prize: Hors d'oeuvres and dinner for 10 with wine pairing
2nd Prize: Reception for 14 with cocktails (restrictions apply) canapes and hors d'oeuvres

Wow! October 1st already!
The summer flew by and we are grateful for all of the wonderful clients and their business to keep us hopping all season long.
October is still pretty busy for us with an annual banquet for the Pugwash Yacht Club this Sunday, a long anticipated return for the open house at Sara Bonnyman Pottery on the 12th, a special chic dinner gig at a residence at Fox Harb'r Resort for dear friends and their guests, a wonderful fall wedding on the 19th in Fox Harbour, and a special return to Northport Consolidated Elementary for a Spooktacular student luncheon event around Halloween.
We have already secured a few bookings into November as well, just in time for the holiday season, so if you're looking to host a special gathering of friends, coworkers or design a holiday get-together, give us a call or send us a message!
We'd love to make your event a truly wonderful experience!

If you're planning a weekend event such as a wedding for 2025, please reach out sooner than later as we already have blocked a number of dates for next year!

The summer is starting to fade into the rear view mirror, but what a season it was!!! Lots of great summer parties, dinners, celebrations and a beautiful wedding to round out August!

September and October are not slowing down as we have - a special gathering to celebrate the beautiful life of a dear man, an anniversary celebration for a well renowned Tata business, an annual awards banquet for the Pugwash Yacht Club, another overdue visit to Sara Bonnyman Pottery, another special event at the residences at Fox Harb'r for our dear friends and a mid October wedding (who doesn't love a fall wedding?)

We have already booked 3 weddings and a few other celebration events for 2025!!! If you are looking for a special event date for the remainder of 2024 or 2025, please don't hesitate to contact us sooner that later as the calendar tends to fill very quickly.

Thanks to all of our wonderful clients and to my great crew, whom I get to enjoy their company, their expertise and their friendship with every gathering!

So we've finally secured a wedding for summer 2024!
It's for a young lady I've known since she was a wee bairn! Truly! I have done gigs for her family and partied with her sweet grandparents. It doesn't get better than that! xo

Hard to believe we used to do at least 8 weddings a year pre-Covid, but here we are. It's not a bad thing from our end as we always manage to fill our season with fabulous summer parties for 40-50 people, birthday celebrations, anniversaries and more. We are more than just weddings, thank goodness.
We do have a lovely wedding secured already for 2025 for a group of of about 60ppl on the Amherst Shore! (For me personally weddings of 40 - 90 are right up my alley these days, lol)

On the go this year we are absolutely thrilled to be catering a historic first TEDX Pugwash, a fabulous milestone 80th birthday celebration for a beloved friend (we also did her 70th!), a fabulous family reunion weekend at Fox Harb'r for dear friends, residents and clients, another wonderful Elementary School luncheon, a surprise birthday celebration for a sassy gal, a private 10th anniversary celebration for a local attraction producer, two birthday celebrations on 2 different weekends at our favourite NYE clients' Log Home and so much more!!

That said - our summer weekends are almost blocked because I will also be busy doing a stint at the wonderful Train Station Inn Dining Car alongside Chef Alec Cramsie and crew!
Shelley and Jimmie Lefresne, owners of the Train Station Inn were in fact, the very first vatering clients when the business started in 2005! After registering the biz and setting up proverbial shop, I was brought in by my friend Shelley to help reset the Dining Car both with kitchen set up and menu set up for small spaces as well as the bar selections - local faves and a few cocktails as well.
Side note: Shelley and I served with the Canadian Association of Foodservice Professionals together - which she introduced me to while I did my first stint at Fox Harb'r, btw. Our tiniest Northumberland Branch won a National Award in fact! :)

I guess they say everything can come full circle - and for my part, I could not be more thrilled. I helped out as much as I could with my vatering commitments at the tail end of the past season. Once included to the exceptionally tight team, I got on "like a house on fire" with the brilliant Chef Alec who still holds the reins and has so in his upcoming 12th season. He is brilliant and has an incredible career history, some of which we regale about during our mutual Halifax years.

As with most of us hospitality folk, we make hay when the sun shines - which is May to October here in the Maritimes, but I have been blessed that I've had a busier than usual fall/winter with vatering and hope we can put that lightning in the bottle for the latter part of the year as well.

I am blessed for the wonderful crew that I can put out a call to, otherwise engaged in more fortuitous endeavours, personal commitments, and whom answer out of love and decent pay (lol).
Also so thankful to the many return clients who have me in mind right off the go, on their speed dial or quick list or just love me, the great friends and previous clients who refer me to another and to all of you who simply know that I will do everything to make your event or happening shine. You know I will!

I am humbled to be doing this still - I am happier still that I can do this with people that I love and respect in a place I have loved, left and returned to over these many years.
